I actually think it works out for both teams. KAT won’t be asked to be a number one or 2 guy, they can split it up a bit between Brunson, Bridges and Towns. They have enough defense to make up for his shortcomings. I don’t know if the trade moves either team up a tier though. Interesting deal

I really like the trade for Minnesota. Randle and DDV are great fits for them. Plus a first rounder.
Im not a big fan of KAT but I see why the Knicks pursued him.
Bridges and OG aren’t reliable second scoring options. Both are prone to have HB like games offensively. This you get the other scorer and a starting Center though a considerably softer one than Hartenstein.

I absolutely despise this for Minny... which is great for us. Why would you absolutely demolish your spacing like this? Why would you demolish a rising Western conference power after a WCF berth? stupid stupid stupid.
Knicks on the other hand are just the favorites in the East now. Brunson/KAT surrounded by Hart/OG/Mikal is absolutely filthy. I love everything about how that 5 fits together. Although breaking up the Nova Knicks isn't that fun.

Yeah, the money explanation is the only thing that makes sense to me. From a basketball competitiveness PoV, I don't see this being the step you take to get out of the Western Conference Finals

The Wolves were the number one defense with just an ok offense. Randle is a better scorer than Kat and a better passer. He obviously doesn’t shoot as well but I’m sure Minny is banking on him being serviceable from 3 and he usually is. IMO he is a better number 2 scoring option than Kat.
Poor DDV but lol DDV.

My theory that DDV is so insufferable that his team has no choice but to get rid of him at the earliest opportunity still holds water.
