Scoreboard Watch/Playoff Standings Watch 2025 Edition

Remember when the Suns had Mikal Bridges and a really good up and coming team? Remember just a year ago when NO had a good up and coming team with Jonas and all those wings? Why did those teams ruin their franchises?
has to be the same reason why the Wolves traded KAT after getting to the Western Finals and the recent Doncic trade

I love the competitiveness. Man, I was so down on the front office, so many blunders. When they’re right I gotta give them credit. Two moves one of them considered insane. Doug “Freaking” Christie moved from end of the bench to interim HC and signing JV. The DC move alone should salvage Monte’s job. Doug is a winner and gets the most from a very flawed lineup. JV is scary I mean literally huge + on rim protection and Keon and JV are a great defensive 1-2 punch.

Our next game is in Denver. I checked their record.
Nuggets started season 11-10, now they are 39-22.
In their last 17 games they played teams with winning record 7 times. 2-5. Ws were on the road against Pistons and Pacers
Nuggets have 9 losses at home, 8 against teams with winning records and 1 against Spurs with then healthy Alien. And then Spurs had a winning record of 17-16 before the game and, naturally, 18-16 after.

Sure, I just try to look for some extra oxygen, if it's even available ;)

Two intriguing games tonight.
Rockets play Pacers in Indiana on b2b. Line is 3.5 in favor for Pacers. L#25 for the season and L#13 in the Rockets last 18 games is incoming, I suppose.
Warriors play Knicks in Big Apple. Knicks favored by 4.5 L#29?
Rockets can't keep up with the scoring of the Pacers.
Knicks are favored at home against the Warriors who may be without Steph who rolled his ankle last game.

Clippers favored by 2.5 in Phoenix also one to watch.
Missed that one.
Out of top 10 teams in the west, only 2 have road losing records. Mavs are 13-17 on the road, Clippers even a bit worse 13-18.

Clippers already lost 3 games to Suns this season: 113-116, 119-125, 109-111. Hmmmm, can't win against Suns in a contested game.

Clippers lost Powell last game due to injury, won't play today.

Suns got a second chance. It was just announced that Kyrie is out due to the torn ACL (ouch). Game just upped a level a bit in terms of post-season aspirations.
Suns can get into play-ins simply by losing less games than Mavs. Mavs play without Kyrie is just... chaotic mehhh.
Or Suns will still be out because lately Blazers play like a different team. Kings play like a different team because simply everything is different from MB's 13-18 earlier in the season.

So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

With all the injuries and assuming Domas comes back healthy I like our chances between most of the teams behind us unless the Blazers sneak in. Still would consider that a coinflip of sorts. We'll see what happens at the end of the month because the last game in Portland we were in it until the last minute and it was Zach's second game, Jonas's first and LaRavia and Fultz weren't with us yet. But they still gave us fits and I suspect they will only keep getting better.

They struggle vs elite teams

Foolish ESPN “first take” talking about the Suns should ask for Lue Dort and Chet Holmgren LMAO
And the reality is now players are making sure they don't go to teams that emptied their cupboards for them. Durant basically said as much about going to the Warriors and how they'd be better off doing it in the offseason or some BS, lol. Fox made sure the Kings didn't get anything that hindered his chances to have assets around him. It's crazy to think, back in the day players kind of put failure upon themselves and were insulted if they got a weak trade package back. Times have changed.
