this is just great. we are going to drop from 5th to 7th in a matter of days. The ideal matchup we were all hoping for against the sonics is slipping away and we are headed for a first round matchup agianst the san antonio spurs.

The only way we go to 7 is if Denver comes back and beats Phoenix. I don't think that's much of a worry.

No matter who we play 1st, If the Kings want to WIN a championship they just gotta go out there and WIN the game no matter who comes 1st

We aren't winning a championship this year. Is that so hard to see?

^^ yep

phoenix isn't exactly a defensive team. i'm sure karl just told his nuggets that we lost, so that could light a fire under them because now they know they'll have a shot at the 6th seed and avoid san antonio in the 1st round.

i hope they lose. and hope the game ends soon.

We don't know yet for sure if we'll be 7th seed.

Even if we face Sonics in the first round, the 2nd round will probably be the Spurs too.

If we face Spurs, then we face them. I think the road in the West is through Spurs and maybe Mavs.

Right now, I'm just trying to enjoy (even though these losts is hard) these last few games +playoffs. Kings already clinched the PO and I'm already happy with that. The further they go in the PO just makes me more happier.

Eventhe MOST optimistic fans were not expecting a championship this year. Most of the realists were/are hopeing for a good showing in the first round ans some experience for the keepers while showcasing the tallent to be traded off in the summer. Tonights game was what it was and with out legitmate scoring options or full grown centers it will be this ugly against big teams. The good news is that the Kings are likely to get Bobbya nd Pedja back for the play offs and Brad couod be back before the end of round one.

If everybody knew who was going to win why would they play the games. Don't forget injurys happen in the playoffs. The way i see it Us and Dallas are the only teams with depth to speak of. If Duncan goes down its bye bye SA. Same with Amare or nash in Phonix. Allen in Seattle. Dirk in Dallas really, T-mac in Houston. If Jackson is back no 1 injury can kill us.

Mike Miller hit the game winner at the buzzer. Memphis is a good team with a lot of depth. Too bad for them Phoenix is gonna kill em!

Memphis has played Phoenix well all season. It might very well turn out to be a good series and maybe even an upset. ;)

^yeah that series for me is gonna be my favorite to watch...the Grizz have this GREAT ability to get under the Suns skin and irrate them and frustate them EVEN in the games that the Suns ended up winning...that matchup definetly was not Suns fans dream matchup

How did Memphis beat San Antonio?

Memphis has beaten them twice this year...actually before the other nights loss to the Spurs Memphis had won 4 straight meetings against them...and they were 1 of the 3 teams that managed to beat San Antonio at the SBC center...Memphis can roll with SA

thats pretty much how it was last year, then Memphis got blown out in the playoffs against them

^yup thats true thanks in large part to Tony Parker...who I believe if he wasn't a super freak in that series the Spurs would have still beaten them but the Grizz would have won at least one game

Care to retract?

The reqular season does not mean a thing when the playoffs start. anyone is the playoffs can beat anyother team, or they wouldn't be there. As for Memphis beating the spurs and phoenix, the level of play goes up a couple of notches in the playoffs. I think the Grizzles may win 1 or 2 games. They both are soft on playoff experience. The Kings need to find their offense and quick. A win going into the playoffs would be huge. Phoenix may not play a lot of their starters or play then a very few minutes. We need to play this game as if it were a playoff game. We need to get a total team effort. And If I see Adelman go to a 7 man rotation, I'm going to screen.....:(
