As the ball left HBs hands, all I could think was the revenge game narrative for Harrison. It wasn’t to be. If I could survive the Horry shot, I can definitely live through this. Get them in game five.
Barnes has been off all game long. This team should learn who is the better shooters on the floor and pass to that guy...hell why not go with Huerter.

I think it’s pretty obvious both can guard him and guard him extremely well.
Looney has done a great job, many times he managed to stop Sabonis on his track either by drawing offensive fouls or just straight-up stopping him at the rim. Give credit where credit is due.

Draymond also made at least 2,3 amazing defensive plays in the final 5 mins of the game.

This now feels apropos to be a heavyweight bout between the top and number 2 offense. We had some advantage in the first 2 games and now Steve Kerr seems to have figured us out for the most part.

Let's bring it on! I can hardly wait for game 5.

That’s what I was thinking too. Curry was down and the Kings had numbers on the last Warriors miss. No need for time out, just take it to the hole! I thought that was a mistake
Steph was indeed down on the floor but Wiggins and Green were back beyond the 3 point line in position to defend with Klay not far behind, meanwhile ALL 5 KINGS players were in or around the paint below the free throw line.

There was just over 10 seconds remaining. Even if Fox pushes it and somehow scores against Wiggins and Green, there’s still ample time left for Steph or Klay even w/o a timeout.

I think Coach Brown just wanted to be sure to get the last shot regardless of the outcome.

I just wish De’Aaron went right to Malik with the pass instead of left to HB. Or they just ran a much better play.

Really would have liked to see Keegan end up with a shot considering how well he was shooting it. Instead, he was standing in the corner.

As discussed before though, Domas' internal clock on shots goes to about 13. Tonights total? 13 haha. I'll fall out of my chair the night he says F it and puts up 20 in a playoff series. Yeah, Sabonis is skilled but Domas doesn't really have an array of moves in the post, he needs to start using that hook better. Too much brute ball from him in this series.
Took the words out of my mouth, too much bully ball, more hook shots and even just simple mid range jumpers needed.

Maybe if he starts hitting the mid range they will start to close out more then he can have more advantage going towards the hoop

No doubt, role guys are important but stars decide your future, period. The Warriors complaints seemingly worked because the last two games Domas has gotten a whopping 2 free throw attempts. After having 12? Nah, that's some BS somewhere along the line.
The refs definitely swallowed their whistles but Sabonis was also not helping his cause. Too much flailing and bull rushes. I want to see some half hooks and as coach Brown mentioned after game 3 be better going up with 2 feet on the ground

Dude, I'm pretty sure Barnes was just a spacer. Where the ball ended up was De'Aarons call. Keegan made the right play but in rewatching he should have stuck in the corner rather than going for the board. Harrison could have had a swing option.

He needs to take a page from his dad, strong presence with great craftiness. I know that's a tall order (pun slightly intended, for them being tall... like in real life... anyway...).

how much time was on the clock when he took the three?

Do as is pretty much clogging the paint at this point if he don’t start attempting that shot. And stop trying to force it up you’re not getting that call.
Shot out the rook too. Idk why we benched him when he was so hot. A few bone head coaching moved at end. Feel like we got a lil outcoached at end of game. We are the better younger team with home advantage. We should win this series.

Let's not forget how quickly we erased that 10 point lead the Warriors had going into the 4th. This team was poised and fought back from a ton of punches from GSW. Even if we didn't make that final push this team showed massive improvement from game 3 to 4. We've proven we can play in a tough road environment going toe to toe with the champs at home. Winning these types of games is another step we will need to take

I wonder if the bruised sternum is seriously affecting Domas. Just hasn't been nearly the same sharp well piled offensive engine we are used to.

Credit to the Warriors for their defensive game plan, but he's also just been so poor. If we want a chance, he's got to get back to his normal play

Elephant in the room is obviously Domas performance. DHO worked mostly but no timing on his own offense and was in rare form on the boards. As in he was bad on the boards.

He’s just doing the wrong thing at the wrong time every time. Pump faking/or dribbling when he should go straight up or going straight up when he should pump fake.

i urge people to go ahead and acknowledge that outside of game 2, he’s had a bad series but to not act like he’s some bum or “he isn’t it”. Remember the Kings don’t sniff the postseason, let alone a series of this high level play without Sabonis.

I know not everybody or even a significant amount are saying that but I was bothered by a few posts I saw during the game that went beyond “Domas is playing like crap”. Warriors are doing a good job on him and he’s not really taking what they are giving him.

Many of all stars have had bad playoff series relative to their usual production. Even somebody like LeBron or Steph have had playoff series that you can compare to their average production or other playoff series and they would qualify as terrible.

I remember Chris Webber had an early reputation of being a bad playoff performer for the Kings….and note that Domas isn’t the only all star currently having a bad series.

Series are short samples. Sometimes setting the tone and throwing a guy out of a rhythm can’t be fixed the next game.

Would people call Donovan Mitchell a fraud? He’s had a dreadful series vs Knicks. He averaged nearly 30 for the season and has been held under 20 twice and well under his average in another game. Almost all dreadful shooting performances. Sometimes you just got to tip the cap to what the other team is doing.

Karl Anthony Towns, Julius Randle(who Thibs wouldn’t play in crunch time today)..last season Devin Booker and Chris Paul had bad playoff series when they got run by Dallas. It happens.

I’m just saying…Maybe Domas finishes this series strong but let’s keep perspective if he doesn’t. Sometimes you just have to tip the cap.

Yeah let's not forget that point. Besting the Warriors at home is insanely tough and we had chance after chance to go and take this game. Just a bunch of inexperienced mistakes there the last 5 across the board.

Just got to hope we're internalizing these games and lessons and growing from it

There have been times where I've not wanted Domas to come back in because Len and group are playing well.

I feel like that's not good, and that Domas needs to be more effective

Credit where credit is due, Curry did a really good job of funneling Fox right into Draymond on the final play. Sure, it resulted in HB being left wide open but smart defense by the Warriors. Also, De'Aaron could have probably done a better job of fighting into the paint before Steph and Draymond really got in position.
Yeah... I can't hate it after further review. You could argue that Fox could dish it earlier but if HB or whoever misses it with time left on the clock, we'll just say Fox didn't fight hard enough to get a shot. The other option could've been Monk behind him to the right but Wiggins should be able to close out on Monk fast enough I don't like the chances with Wiggins being taller.

Onto the next game!

I’m looking again, it’s a good clean look. It is what it is. We were down 10 going into fourth and claw back to one possession game with shot at the buzzer. Series is far from over.

Sure, only because the officials swallow their whistles most the time. Be real.

All things being equal and fair, neither has a chance to guard him. Even despite Looney and Dray getting away with murder in the paint, Domas is still making an impact. 16/12/4.5 for the series.

It’s beyond maddening to see Poole, Steph and Klay get to the FT line with HALF the contact Domas endures on a consistent basis with NO call.

Well, you know what they say, "Fan is short for 'fanatic.'" Nuance is not something a lot of fans do well: middle ground, what's that?

This inexperience takes for me just don’t cut it I’m sorry. Take away the jersey names and it would look like the warriors not the kings played with inexperience.
Curry made some of the worst plays in crunch I’ve seen. If fox did that he would be roasted.

kings showed the poise of vets we just missed the last shot

I’m gonna say this. If Sobonis doesn’t start acting like Sobonis with some asssit and rebounds, we might as well have Len out there shot blocking. He’s gotta be the playmaking threat we all love

Curry tried to give us the game man and we didn’t take it. Barnes makes that shot 50/50 you have to live with it even tho a 2 wins the damn game
The only really bad Barnes shot was the home run swing with 16 seconds on the clock but that's honestly just nitpicking too because the Kings were in position to win and that's all you can ask for. If there was anything that can be fixed it's the mismatch portions in the last two games where the Warriors have relentlessly attacked the Kings dual big lineup of Lyles and Len without having Lyles pound whatever guard is on him on the other end. You can't let the Warriors get away with having Poole or DDV guard a 6'9" 250 pound big that can score without pounding them.
