Hall of Famer
Am I the only one who thinks the coverage of the Kings by the Bee is horrible? I grew up in New York, where the beat writers almost have a cutt throat attitude when it comes to covering sports teams, and I admit they can be a little over the top sometimes. But at least they are willing to tell it how it is, and ask the tough questions. I get the impression the Bee writers often are not willing to ask the tough questions, and attempt not to ruffle any feathers. They often seem to sugarcoat any problems with the team. Personally, I don't have much respect for this type of journalism. I rarely, if ever, gain any insight from a Sacbee article.
The odd thing about the Bee to me, is that the writers aren't afraid to rub fans the wrong way if it fits an agenda. Aside from that, the seem to tiptoe around any situation that might cause controversy.
Jason Jones seems to be a complete waste of a journalist. I'm surprised this is who ended up replacing Marty. Amick is probably the best the Bee has right now, but he often has an agenda, and I will agree with Napear that he doesn't ask tough enough questions as the lead beat writer. Voisin, occasionally, writes a good article. For the most part, she is extremely biased, and often has more of an agenda than any other writer.
So, am I the only one who expects more? I'm not from Sac, but I get the impression through comments here that the Bee used to be much better in its coverage. IMO, there are a few posters here that would do a better job covering the Kings than any writer they have on staff at the moment. On this forum, everyone may disagree, but for the most part, we are all very perceptive, knowledgable of basketball, and put thought and analysis into our posts. Thats more than the Bee has to offer IMO.
Moderaters: I put this thread in the wrong part of the forum. Can one of you move it to Kings Rap.
