Look, Jason Jones has been pretty impartial in his coverage of the Kings thus far. I think its about time we stop complaining about him. (At least until he actually does something that warrants the hate)

As for Bill Bradley and the editorial staff, go ahead and flame away. Those guys offer absolutely nothing.

And if you check the byline, it wasn't even written by Jason Jones. It was written by Victor Contreras, who has not previously been on my radar.

Total disrespect. Why does this writer have a job? This is grounds for instant firing. Kings fans arent buying Kobe jerseys and chanting MVP for him either. Those are lakers fans. They have bandwagon fans all over the world.

I'm assuming the article is a pro-Fakers piece? I don't want to click on the link because I don't want to give them advertisement clicks.

If someone confirms my suspicions, I will never buy the Bee again (I already canceled my subscription before), but I will also not click on any of their website articles. Basically, total boycott for me.

Sacramento being trolled by its own newspaper? I fear the oncoming blogosphere for the possibility of a complete collapse in journalistic integrity, but when you see crap like this it makes you think bring it on.

This makes my blood boil.

This Bee has always been a piece of **** but this is going way too far.

Your in ****ing Sacramento! Home of the Sacramento Kings! How are you going to post some BS like this in our own home town paper?! I hope people boycott this sorry excuse for a paper. Who the hell hired these douche bags anyways? Take your ****y *** back LA, Victor Contreras.

I jumped completely off the Bee sports page quite sometime ago. There is simply no reason to read it when right here you have much more informed writers.

You are but one example here. I often read your posts and say to myself "now that is a well-informed opinion that I can respect. I don't necessarily agree with it. But it is well informed and very respectable."

There are at least a half dozen other posters here that I could same the same thing about and everyone is writing free of charge. The Bee simply cannot compete with it.

This is the same idiot that wrote a piece in the Bee asking for Urijah Faber to retire because of his recent loss to Aldo. This guy says this not knowing anything about MMA. Carmichael Dave had him on his show and the guy made a complete idiot of himself. It seems that this guy has it out for Sacramento.

The sacbee has got to be one of the worst papers in circulation. I just stick with the SF Chronicle.

I can't believe this was even published. I'm not from Sacramento, I'm not even from the US but I've studied Journalism in college and this is just baaaaaaad journalism.

The paper is called the "Sacramento" Bee for crying out loud. Un-biased and objective reporting is all good but to tell the readers to cheer for their most hated team is just plain stupid.

It's been more than 50 years since the Kings won an NBA championship. We should have won in 02 but the league cared more about ratings and decided to help another team beat us. And this paper is telling the hometown fans to cheer for that team?

What the hell right?

Well put. It's ok to be over what happened in 2002, but that doesn't mean we forget that it was a cheat job. A serious boycott is called for. A permanent boycott. Seriously. For even thinking that this would be a good idea to publish, this paper should be sunk immediately. Somebody organize a town wide boycott.

Yeah this article is just garbage, I actually signed up and replied to it just to tell them how much garbage it was. This Contereas guy needs to be fired ASAP.

I wrote this rough-draft letter that I will consider sending to the Bee. Anyone got any suggestions? If anyone wants to use the text for their own letter, feel free.

Sacramento Bee,

I am a Sacramento Kings fan. I love to watch the Kings play basketball, and I also enjoy reading about them in the news. Although I have have enjoyed your sports section in the past, I will no longer be reading your newspaper because of the insulting favoritism that your sports staff has repeatedly displayed for the Los Angeles Lakers organization.

The most recent instance involved an article written by Victor Contreras which urged Sacramentans to cheer for the Lakers. This article presented a ludicrous proposition - As a long-time Kings fans, there are only two professional basketball teams that I cheer for: (1) The Sacramento Kings, and (2) ANY team that is playing against the Lakers. There is no way that I can continue to support the Sacramento Bee when I am confronted with articles such as these.

I am disappointed to leave your readership. I would like to inform you that I will no longer read your print or on-line versions. Additionally, I will encourage all of my friends and family to stop reading your newspaper, and I will suggest alternative sources of news to them.

I may consider returning to your readership if your sports staff makes some serious changes to the way it covers its local teams and its rivals.
