I don't actually advocate this trade, it's just something that I thought of the other day that I hadn't heard of/considered before. Gets a passing PG and shotblocker in one fell swoop, but age/contracts are poor. Not a rebuild move in any case, but a lateral move I could see Geoff pulling the trigger on around deadline time (although I'd rather see a blowup, IMO).

Successful Scenario

This gets us nowhere except a different seat on the same merry-go-round, IMHO.

Eh...I tend to agree with VF, this would be a wash for both teams. Other than the fact that we would get more meat at the center position...and I'm not the biggest Dalembert fan, but I would take him over Brad anyday. Andre Miller is a headcase, and would be a downgrade from Bibby.

Kenny Thomas/Jason Hart for Daly makes more sense from our perspective....Sixers save roughly 18 million over the course of Daly's deal...I wouldn't give up more than that, sense Daly's deal is really bad.

It's almost starting to feel, well, like incest between us and Philly. There are other teams in the league, you know.....

We traded once with Philly and that didn't work out quite well. Maybe we should look on some other teams fpr a change

seriously. after that trade I think Petrie & King should go a long time before hatching any new great ideas together. That has got to be one of the worst trades of all times. I realize that trades aren't always a "win, win" situation, but this was a "lose, lose" that screwed both teams over. Yikes.

Brad Miller for Samuel Dalembert is like robbing Paul to pay Peter.

Miller can pass and shoot, but can't defend worth a lick.
Dalembert can rebound....and that's about it. He often looks lost on offense.
