I wish miami was good with trading Marion for Miller. Good trade idea. I dont think miami would be interested unless they were getting some picks, and or talent, and or cash, and or picks. Like i have said in other threads, Marion was being discussed in a trade for AK47 straight up. Does AK47 for Miller make sense? Not really. But i am definitely for this trade. Cleveland would be going for broke, which is what they need to do, if they want to keep Lebron from a major market team. Miami will not consent to giving up Marion for less than Miller and a 1st rounder. How about cleveland doles out a 1st to miami too?

We had better get a 1st rounder because we get nothing esle in this trade. Not to mention our only backup center is Willams? I don't mind trading Brad or Mikki or Quincy but I don't think we should trade Brad AND Mikki leaving us with backups of KT and Sheldon. Thats not a good idea. This seems like another case of trading just to be trading. You can well bet if Brad OR Mikki is traded we get another big in return be it a has been or a not yet but you don't have a guy that sat on our bench all year last year being our primary backup PF and our primary backup C is Shelden whom has yet shown he can be a solid NBA PF much less a C.

If you're going to trade Miller for cap room, it has to include Salmons or other players besides Moore in order to create any meaningful cap room in 2009.

If you're going to trade Miller for just expirings and a pick, it had better be better than a late first rounder.

Ideally the trade for Miller would be like the Artest trade - expiring, young player, and pick. I don't think anything else is worth it.

I think Miami can get a lot more for Marion. If the Kings have Shawn Marion, I'd be upset if we trade him for Miller, Moore and Douby. But let's say they do want to trade The Matrix for our guys, this should be a two team trade between the Kings and the Heat. Why do we move Marion to Cleveland for two scrubs when Marion is also an expiring contract?

And once we have Marion, there will be no shortage of teams giving us young players and good draft picks for him. I even think we can move Marion to the Blazers for Bayless.

Brad Miller WONT get us what artest got us. Miller is older! No one will gives expirings a young player AND a first rounder for Miller imho.

Brad should be competing for something more than the highest pick in next years draft. He should be traded to a team in the East, where he can actually make a difference. We should be able to get a 1st round pick and an expiring, flat. No matter where the pick or when.
