Sac Bee ad by Kings Fans

So in another thread this morning, fans who don't live in Sac were called out and told their opinion on the Arena situation doesn't matter, and because they don't live in Sac proper, their opinion is void.

I'm glad many of us are ignoring idiots like that, and still doing what we can, even from a distance, to get our message across. Or because our opinions are now void, should our money not count either?

All you need is an email account. Sign up for paypal, then everyone else, with a paypal account of their own, sends you the money. Of course, there is a small fee unless the money sent comes directly from a bank account or paypal balance.

You don't have to sign up for PayPal. You have to sign ON to PayPal. You can uses a credit card and use PayPal using their guest function. There is always a fee and the one who loses is the person paid.

It works. Just got a notification from Glenn. You're the man. Thank you!

I am feeling a lot of pride right now and Glenn you helped start this campaign to clean up the nasty fighting between the city council and the Maloofs.

BIG smile on my face right now. Come on folks! Let's get this done so I can go to the Bee and get our ad ready.

I just sent you a donation Mike! I'm sorry for the delay as I'm in Southern CA for a few. Thank you so much for putting this together for all of us. You ROCK!!! :)
I received it. Thank you so much.

I am feeling so much pride in what we're doing. I hope the Anaheim deal falls apart and the Maloofs realize we're their customers, friends and family.

That's the positive message I want us to send them. We will not throw in the towel.

We need to use this message in our ad:

The Maloofs also told the mayor Monday that "it's not a done deal in Anaheim" and "if we don't go to Anaheim, we love Sacramento, the fans have been great to us and we will be back with a renewed commitment and vigor."

And that is why I think the city made a mistake sending that letter to Anaheim. If the deal falls through, which it could because there isn't much time to finalize everything, as small as that chance may be, it really hurts the chances of the Maloofs looking to stay here going forward.

If the deal falls through, you would ideally want a working relationship between the Maloofs and the city. This letter kills the chances of that.

Like I said earlier.. If that was the case the NFL wouldn't exist any longer, or for that matter the NBA after the lockout 12-13 years ago. It's posturing and in the end money wins.

I want to thank those of you who have already donated.

I have collected $975 thus far. Let's keep it coming as I need to pay the Bee.

I am also working with someone from Here We Stay to help me develop the ad as he is a graphic designer.

Not sure how everyone who donated to the ad feels about this, but I would like at least a little caption on the ad stating that we kings fans feel the city and politicians have let us down. I have a feeling with the here we rise, and here we build campaigns, at some point the politicians, and KJ, will try to use to to their advantage, and spin it towards Sac having great, passionate fans who care, and it's symbolic of the community. yet the politicians who have spoken for the community, have consistently delivered a different message.

Our efforts must be kept seperate from any politicians at this point. We're having to do this because the politicians didn't do a productive thing for the last decade. In that ad, should be something saying that yes we care, the politicians don't speak for us, and we're having to do this because of our inept politicians.

Here's a chance to call out the city council, and graswich, in a public forum. The majority of the ad should be positive, and relay our passion, without a doubt. But we should also point out how much the politicians have failed us.

We have raised enough money to pay for a 1/4 page color ad for Sunday, April 10th.

I will be meeting with Here We Stay during Sunday's Kings game to go over how we will do this as a collaborative effort.

I also want Carmichael Dave involved and his input too.

I will keep you all posted.

I also agree with rainmaker's comments and will run them by everyone.

Thank you everyone for your support!
