Ruthie Bolton constantly encourages children in this community. She never says no if a children's group or school requests her presence. She is the consummate professional and she has decided to make Sacramento her permanent home. The community loves her, but no more than she loves this community.
This Saturday, Ruthie's #6 will be the 1st Sacramento Monarchs jersey ever retired. As you know, having one's jersey retired is an honor afforded few. She deserves to have this community's support by filling ARCO arena while we cheer and congratulate her.
And so, I ask you to invite all your friends and neighbors to join us at ARCO arena this Saturday at 1 p.m. as the Sacramento Monarchs take on the defending champ, Seattle Storm.
You will be treated to some exciting Sacramento style basketball, except that this team plays defense. In fact, they lead (or are 2nd in) the WNBA in most defensive categories. What better way to spend your Saturday?
