Rudy Gay injury update

Realistically and strategically, I would prefer the Kings to lose to the Lakers those two games if it results in them losing their pick. Here's why...
  1. Laker fans will be way more upset if they lose their pick vs losing to the Kings twice. It's not even close. I want them to feel as much pain as possible.
  2. It prevents a team in our division from getting a top, young talent. It doesn't even matter that it's the Lakers. If we had a way to prevent the Warriors from getting a top 5 college talent, would you do it?
  3. Cousins and Gay might be shutdown for the remainder of these games. Chemistry and building towards something is pretty much on hold if that happens.
  4. It gives Philadelphia and us a little more flexibility when it comes to making a deal (thinking Noel in this case).
  5. Lastly, it helps us in regards to our pick this year.
I was all for playing the season out and building some momentum going into the offseason, but if our 3 best players are going to be out (Cousins, Gay, Collison). I really don't think it makes sense for us to keep winning. There's nothing to build towards with all three of those guys out of the equation.

So if they put five Sister's of the Mercy nuns out on the floor to face the Kings you would thrilled with the Kings victory? That doesn't do it for me.
I can't believe that I have to repeat myself, again:

I've said this before, and by god, I'll say it again: I don't care if it's playoffs, regular season, preseason, summer league, rec league, YMCA league, 3-on-3, HORSE, hopscotch, checkers, T-ball, dominoes, go fish or a sack race, I want the Kings to beat the gd lakers. Beat 'em down, beat 'em down, beat 'em down!

If they put five blind children on the court, and those kids were wearing lakers jerseys, I would want the Kings to beat them by a thousand points.

some just can't let the Laker hate die I see...maybe it will once Kobe calls it quits.

Oh, no. The Laker hate will never die for me. I was a Celtics fan before the Kings came to Sacramento. My Laker hate goes back 5 decades. It ain't ending just because some player calls it quits.

Don't bet on it: the date I started watching NBA basketball and the date I started hating the lakers are identical. I think Kobe Bryant might have been in the fifth grade when I started hating the lakers.

I root for and against laundry. My hatred for the gd lakers will never die. It. Will. Never. Die.

Guys, I'm really worried about Rudy Gay. Kayte just reported that he did have a headache today, and I just love the guy, as a person and a player, he's such a pro. He's so crucial to this team and he is just so so talented it's unbelievable.
