Rubio at #4

Griffin is way out of our hands right now unless the Clippers are foolish enough to take any trade from us.

But maybe I am one of those few that is still crossing my fingers that Rubio may slip to number 4.

After the Clippers you got Memphis picking #2, who already have a top pick PG, in Conley. But clearly needs a PF. I hope Jordan Hill will WOW them.

Then Oklahoma at #3, already have Westbrook at PG. And may need to fill a top SG (Harden) or a big (Thabeet).

So who knows.....

I really don't believe Conley compares to Rubio, so I think Memphis would pick Rubio and try to deal Conley after that.

And in Oklahoma's situation, they still don't know if Westbrook can be a solid 1 or not, so who knows if they might decide to move him to the 2 spot and have rubio run the team.

Wishfull thinking!

There is no way Rubio slips outside top 3 and most likely top 2. The ONLY way we could get Rubio is if we trade up and then I am not sure why Memphis or OKC do it.

The sooner we realise that Rubio won't slide to us, the better off we will be. We will go with a safe pick with not much upside. Someone that will be a solid contributor from the start but doesn't have a great potential. Thats why I think we won't pick Jennings.

You're just setting yourself up for disappointment, which we all continue to do my rooting for this organization.

Rubio isn't coming unless he's a top 2-3 pick, and Petrie isn't picking him if he isn't coming over this year.

So maybe we could trade up to get him, but he isn't coming to Sacramento with #4. The sooner we realize this, the better off we are.

my god, aren't we dealing with donald sterling and mike dunleavey? can't we just BUY their pick? come on, everyone else takes advantage of the clippers, why can't we?!

You don't draft for position with a top 5 pick IMO. You draft for talent. You get the best player available. Too many times I've seen teams draft a promising player at a needed position and pass over a great player at a filled position.

And I don't know why so many kings fans are high on Rubio. He's got potential, but is far from a proven star and people are clamoring about him who have probably never even watched him play a game.
