That was the deal expected all along, so that went according to plan.

Welcome Rajon! Feel perfectly free to have a great season and rebuild your rep.
I would have loved a team option for a sec year.... just incase he did recover and would at least be worth keeping but this is still not horrible and very tradable if its not working out.

My first concern is which Rondo we will get - Dallas or Boston. If it's the former, we're screwed. If it's the latter, we have an all star calibre PG.

My next concern is after seeing what went on in Dallas I didn't want him. He was apparently disruptive and not a good teammate. If true, that makes this a risky move. But hopefully that doesn't happen here and he becomes a leader on this team and returns to form.

The final concern is that he does really well with us and walks in free agency. That would be just our luck...

That said, this might turn out to be a very good signing if he returns to form and ultimately commits to this team long term. Won't please Collison though, maybe he'll end up being traded?

Rondo
Belinelli
Gay
WCS
Cousins

Bench: Collison, BMac
I agree on the lineup. DC/Ben to our bench improves it. What we really need now is a 3rd big. Enough chasing wings/guards, our focus need to be on solidifying our front court and this Rudy at PF nonsense is just that, nonsense. Can't be anything other than going small in spurts.

It's not so much about assists numbers cause we don't want him assist whoring (which he has done in the past), it's weather he makes other players better.
I agree that it is about making your peers better and when his game is on that is what Rondo can do. The 10+ assists just come naturally in that process.

This is what I'm holding on to. Rudy won't let Rondo get out of control, nor do I think Rondo would cause problems playing with one of his friends.
Plus Rondo is playing for another contract there is so many incentives that if his basketball ability is still there he should have a good year otherwise his head/body just ain't in the game no more.
