Ron Artest

Any questions?

No, his performance wasn't stellar as far as the stat line is concerned but when is the last time you saw a gutsier performance by someone who was playing at maybe 70%???

He not only is the Warrior, he inspires the rest of the team to step up and do their best.

My hat's off to Ron Artest.

I actually ended up at today's game kinda spur of the moment and I must say Ron Ron is THE MAN.

I love Ron Artest! If one day I jump on the Kings bandwagon, it's largely because of what he brings to the game.

artest is cool.... im just happy that martin and garcia are not only playing well but are also playing well coming off the bench.... if we could only get a back up point that could do the same.....

ron is a warier...no two ways about it....if at all possible, he will play, even if its not necessarily in his or the teams best interest-its just how he is....

lets hope playing doesnt have any ill effects on his recovery....

the kings needed a win desperately....and they got it....

The team with Artest so far has given up 93.2ppg (including the 124 from Toronto) which seems pretty good if you ask me!

Although..... We have only scored 94 (including the 123 from Toronto) in those 5 games, and have gone 2-3 :(

I think one of the things I noticed the most about today's game (and EVERY game since Artest has been a King) is that the bench seems to be interested in what's happening on the court. I really like how he's constantly talking with other players, on and off the court.

Exactly! Not to knock any of the other guys, but I never ever saw the guys talk on the court until Ron got here.

They used to do it. For some reason, however, this season I hadn't seen it at all until Artest's first game.

I've seen SAR talk sometimes during the season or body motions (arm around someone, hand on shoulder). Obviously not since the injury with speaking... Ditto Bibby/Bonzi with the talking.

But indeed, that's Ron, and I really like seeing it.

Geez...

If I say it's Sunday, will you disagree and say it's Tuesday?

MY POINT was that the whole team is talking to each other, not just isolated instances of one or two players.

From the few games I've seen since Ron joined the team there does seem to be a lot more communication between the players. Not a knock on any one else, but they do seem a lot more verbal with eachother. You would almost expect it though especially with guys going in and out of the lineup. I mean with so many changes going on they have to talk a lot to figure eachother out.

Seeing him gather the team together more than once on the court to discuss "defense" the first game they played and then urging them to "communicate" was music to my ears.

How many times have we wondered this season if those guys even knew each other were there, let alone were talking to each other?

By setting an example of talking and communicating with other players, Artest is really encouraging the rest of the team to do the same. And good things will happen...

Ditto! Oh, and as far as our 2-3 record with Ron...injuries, injuries, and more injuries. Cant really put our record under the microscope at all of late. Get ready for a rocky ending to the season, these type of injuries that our players have are very pesky and always get re-aggrevated easily...we just need to play together and make progress for next season, IMO.

I noticed that too

To answer your question, no.

*shrugs*

Well I wasn't even directing that to you, I know what your point was, hence the second part of my post, and from watching Ron. ;)

OK, I missed most of the game and didn't see the shoes. Can someone fill me in?

It was spraypainted with the queens bridge that leads into queens with part of the city (queensbridge, home town), and next to it said "Ron-Ron" I think.
