so how did they blow the 14-point lead?
I think the answer to that is actually simple. If all we needed were our starters, teams would only carry 5 players. We have to trade to improve our bench. They scored 4-7 points total. I don't even want to look at the box scores right now, so I am not sure.
I think that Bibby, Bonzi, and Miller had VERY good games. They were agressive and played with heart and desire. The rest, not so much. I was disappointed in SAR and Peja. The bench was awful. I really don't fault the "kids." Rookies and Sophs are generally NOT going to be impact players. There is no excuse for the others.
Petrie MUST makes some trades. There is NO way around it. I have NEVER in all my years as a Kings fan (and there have been many of those) pointed out a single player that I felt should get traded. I DESPISE doing it now, but as much as I hate it, we need to trade Peja. It makes me sad. How I am going to tell my dog? I named him Peja when I got 3 years ago. Sad, sad day
. He is our best option right now and I do not think that he would stay after this season without a max deal from us and he has not earned it.
I have the opposite opinion now than at the beginning of the season. I thought we had the talent, but not the heart. Now, I think we have the heart (most of the team) but NOT the talent.
The ball is in Petrie's (and Maloof's) court now, as far as I am concerned. We need help. Let's see if he is really as good as I beleive him to be.
