Raymond Felton

Entity

Hall of Famer
Great defender, lightning quick, great pick and roll player, good passer. attacks his man the full length of the floor and aggrivates the hell out of most pg's. downside he is only 6'1 has a 6'5 wingspan. he doesn't demand the ball and would be a great role player on this new team. Not sure how much he would be demanding. But he is a change of pace guy for sure.

The way this summer is unfolding, Felton will get a max contract in no time. :p

Seriously though, he is not going to come cheap and he is not going accept a backup role.

There really is nothing to see here.

With the influx of PGs into the league and all those free agents this year he just may be there for the taking. He found trouble getting paid at the end of last year too. I felt like last year he turned the corner and really advanced as a player.

I like the idea of adding Felton, good young pg that can't hurt this squad and they need another pg.

He's a nice player, but if I were him I'd be chasing dollars and a starting PG spot. Neither of which we should be interested in providing him.

I'd also like to pass on Felton because he's streaky as hell, our best bet for a backup PG is Kyle Lowry. We might have to pay a lil bit more than we'd like for a backup since HOU signed him to an offer sheet, but with the way this FA season is shaping up giving him a lil extra would be nothing.

I think Felton is pretty good. I think he could especially help Tyreke on defense when he gets worn out playing smaller quicker point guards. He complements Beno in that he's a superior defender. It all depends on the price. If these teams continue with their spending spree and he doesn't get picked up in the next three or four weeks, maybe the Kings can get in him on the cheap.

I'm all for Felton. Quick, defensive and strong. Tyreke wouldn't have to guard Rose or Westbrook with Felton on the team. Felton also turned into a strong spot up shooter last year: 38% from three, which I believe is better than Beno.

Felton would probably have to start with the money GP would have to give up for him, but I honestly don't think Beno would mind going back to the bench, because the Kings are going to be a much stronger team next year. Having Felton on the team would also take a pinch of minutes away from Tyreke, which is good, because 37mpg is too much.

A Felton, Evans, Beno and Garcia guard rotation can compete with any in the league in my opinion and has no weakness.

Felton and Evans are quick defensively.
Felton, Beno and Garcia can shoot the three.
Felton, Beno and Tyreke are strong players. (195, 205 and 220 lbs)
Felton, Evans and Garcia can all defend.

Felton's contract is the only issue...
