Rank Your Kings

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
Just for fun, I thought I would start a thread where people could post their offensive and defensive rankings of Kings players this upcoming season. In order to make the lists consistent, let's say the criteria will be "how much you expect xxxxx to be able to contribute on each side of the floor THIS season (i.e. not future potential). Offense to include all aspects, passing etc. Defense to include rebounding. I personally am going to include the three major free agents (Daly, AK47, Crawford) we have been attached to as well.

For instance:

Defense
<----------Kirlilenko (one of the best)
<----------Dalembert (shotblocking help defender, and big rebounder)
Hayes (man defender)
Salmons (man defender, sluggishness last year due to innjury or has he lost a step?)
Greene
Evans (could move up if focused)
Whiteside (will have to prove himself, but could move up)
Thompson
Honeycutt (rookie, will have to prove body is ready)
Garcia
Thornton (right attitude, but not terribly effective yet)
Cousins (if cleans up foul problems could move up)
Hickson (effort lacking, rebounding helps)
<----------Crawford
Jimmer
Thomas (rookie, small, will have to prove)

Offense
Evans
Cousins
Thornton
<------------Crawford
Hickson
Jimmer (rookie, will have to prove)
Salmons
<------------Kirilenko
Garcia
Thompson
<------------Dalembert
Greene
Hayes
Whiteside
Thomas (rookie, not sure what to expect)
Honeycutt (rookie roleplayer, will have to prove)

Actually, I can't really argue with those rankings. Might move Hickson up a bit on defense because I get the gut feeling the effort will be there, but other than that, my feelings are about the same.

Defense:
* Can Guard
(Kirilenko) (3-4 some 2's and 5's)
(Dally) (4-5)
Hayes (4-5)
Salmons(1-3)
Evans (1-3)
Greene (mostly 3's the odd 2 and 4s)
Garcia (Mostly 2's some 1 and 3's)
Thompson ( 4-5)
Cousins (Mostly 5's some slower 4's, could change this year)
Hickson (4s some 5's)
(Jamal) (1-2)
Thorton (1-2)
Whiteside (5)
Honeycutt (By his size and length im guessing Mostly 3's but the odd 2 and 4's is possible if he develops right)
Jimmer (1)
Thomas (1)

Offense

Cousins
Evans
Thornton
(Jamal)
Salmons
Jimmer
Hickson
(Kirilenko)
Thompson
Garcia
(Dally)
Greene

About the only change I would make is I would move Thompson ahead of Whiteside on the defensive list. While I agree that Whiteside is an impact player with his shotblocking, he's totally lost when it comes to rotations and defending the pick and roll. So I'd give JT an edge there, at least for now. I think Jimmer has the ability to be higher on that list, but since he's an unknown quanity, I'm fine with where he's at. Same with Cousins, I definitely think he'll be ranked higher by seasons end.

On the offensive side, once again I'm tempted to move JT up ahead of Kirilenko, but I can live with him where he's at.

Defense:

Dalembert
Kirilenko
Evans
Hayes
Whiteside

Greene
Thompson
Cousins
Salmons (will be miserable guarding an elite 3)
Garcia (like Salmons, not good enough guarding an elite3)

Offense:

Evans
Crawford
Thornton
Jimmer
Cousins

Hickson
Greene
Kirilenko
Salmons
Thompson
