Random Kings stuff

Dime Dropper

All-Star
Not sure where to put this, so here's as good a place as any. Random video of McLemore dunking. Rim may not be regulation height, but it probably is when you look at people standing next to it. We already knew he was athletic, this is just another example of it. Only the first dunk is his. It's been a while since we've had someone that could jump as high as him (probably going back to Price or Wallace unless I'm missing someone).

The tower bridge has turned purple. Love it!

Great photo. Nice to see that the city is getting excited for the coming season. I recall driving to ARCO for a playoff game and seeing a banner draped across the peer amid building. Ah, those were the days.

Wow. Those are much more impressive than anything I've seen in recent NBA dunk contests. This dude is a skywalker

Looks like we have landed a potential future NBA great. Too bad IT missed a couple of
alley –oop opportunities to lob a high pass to Ben during the last Kings- Clipper game.

I guess Malone ripped the whole team today for having a crapty practice. Saying they have accomplished nothing so far and the preseason means nothing.

Nice to hear a coach talk like this.

Exactly! A far cry from Keith Smart always wanting to be his players friend or saying everyone should be like family.

the NBA has just put up a whole lot of the Sports VU information on their stats page. one of the nuggets from there:

Tomb Ziller ‏@teamziller 5h
Dwight had 26 rebounds, but DeMarcus is tops among the elite rebounders in reb/chance at ... 93%. http://stats.nba.com/playerTrackingRebounding.html?pageNo=1&rowsPerPage=25&sortField=REB_COL_PCT&sortOrder=DES&filters=MIN*GE*20**REB*GE*10…

meaning that Cuz grabbed 93% of all rebounds falling down within 3.5 feet of him. yeah, I know, 1 game sample size and all, but I would be shocked if Cuz were not to be among the league leaders in that category at the end of the year. a very nice way to evaluate his rebounding, imo.

Breaking "news": Shaq announcing on NBA TV that he will be in the house for the laker game. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

More breaking "news": according to NBA TV, CNN's Rachel Nichols reporting that Kobe Bryant is "not planning" on returning Friday.

On the contrary: I think that Kobe thinks more about the Kings than he wants to admit, and that's why he won't play. he won't want to risk looking bad in Sacramento.
