Rally Reports-- POST HERE!

The Hammer

All-Star
For all of those who couldn't be there, like me... if you were, please post a note or two about how it was, and/or your reaction. Thanks!

To kick it off I'll post Tetsujin's from the other thread:

Just got home and all I can say is wow. Great night, great crowd, and, or course, the greatest fans in the world. C-Webb's video message blew the lid off of 6.5k+ Love it.

Here we stay

From the other thread:

I was only able to go for the first hour but had a good time. Took my 8 year old. Shook Doug's hand and he signed a basketball for my son. Got within 10 feet of Scot but he was heading the other direction and we had to split.

I know I was surprised when Joe asked Kevin to represent the Kings at the draft, but I think all the surprises were pretty much revealed before the event (Bjax, Pollard, Christie, Tesla).

That's cool. I was kind of hoping the surprise would have been that Burkle was financing an arena, hahaha. Sounds like it went well. I'll watch the 11:00 news and get the rundown.

It was AWESOME! I was there for the entire thing, and was simply amazed. :DAside from the Tesla fans pushing past me to rush the stage, loved every min! ;) I am so proud to be a Sacramentan and a Kings Fan. Our city and our fandom was represented beautifully!

I got there around 6 and stayed till the end... It went as good as anyone could hope. Lots and lots of people, a reported 7000. A special moment when the Maloofs asked KJ to represent us at the lottery (he accepted). Pollard was colorful as ever, and Christy really dug deep with great memories. Tesla was awesome, and really pushed things over the top. This rally showed me there is allot more support (and passion) out around Sac then what you hear and see on the internet posting boards.

Sounds great! Some of the Tesla guys are showing their age but Jeff sounds pretty good. Did they play any other songs? The video behind them looked great. Glad to hear that someone got to the Maloofs and they now sound happy to be here.

Cool! Thanks for the link. It would have been nice to play something like Modern Day Cowboy or something more amped up instead. I guess I'll have to catch them next time they roll through the NW.

That appears to be their only west coast date this summer, weird. Last summer I'm pretty sure they came up to my hood and people seemed pretty excited about it, which was cool because I always thought it was just a Sacramento thing that most people didn't understand :)

Doug Christie, Jr. came up on stage. Christie explained that when he or Jackie tell someone they're from Seattle, Doug, Jr. speaks up and says, "Not me, I'm from Sacramento!" :)

Right on :) Maybe we should get him under contract!
