it seems that everyone says were looking for a 4/5 athletic banger who plays nice post D, rebounds, and blocks shots, doesnt need to be too fancy.

thats exactly what Skinner was..what makes you think we can get someone better and even if we do..will he get PT?

Presumably there were two problems with Skinner a) he was a bit undersized and b) he killed the offense which still largely resolved around Bibby and Miller up until Artest's arrival. With Adelman gone and our offense completely revamped I expect whoever we get will get playing time and probably also be a few inches taller.

According to 82games.com
Stat-----------------------ON Court--OFF Court
Offense: Pts per 100 Poss.--97.6------109.0
Defense: Pts per 100 Poss.--101.9-----106.2
Total Rebounding-----------46.2%----49.7%
As you can see offense sucked more with him than defense improved plus Kings had much less posessions with him on the floor.
You can check Portland stats - it's not like Rick misused him.

like a malik rose on the defensive end and like a shawn bradely on the offensive end. we need someone over 6'10 with SOME basketball iq in the paint

I hate to be negative but, an athletic 4-5 who can score down-low, block shots, rebound and play defense in the post with the best of em = All-Star player. A rarety whose team will most likely not even consider trading let alone for our spare parts.

Think about it this way, if you would be a fan of any other team in the league and the Kings wanted YOUR big(with the qualities written above), would you want your team trading him for Kenny freakin' Thomas, Corliss etc... ?!?!

We have got to trade one of those players that we love and don't wanna see leave(Ron, Bonzi, Bibby) if we wanna hope to get that kind PF-C player.

Yep, that athletic 4-5 is always the key of winning everything and a C. So we need one right now. It's O'Bryant/Sene/Simmons or go home (w/ another guard again!) in the draft.

No thanks. There are lots of 'athletic 4-5s' in the draft right now waiting to be picked and developed.

P.S. I mentioned some of them (bigmen draftees) because realistically they're the only ones who could get to our #19.

You forgot about Brad, he's someone that could definitely be put in the trade.

But by the time we developed one of those draft picks Bonzi, Bibby, and Artest will be reaching, if not already, in their 30's. IMHO, let's sell high and put a package together revolving around Bonzi to try and get a defensive big man. Strike while Bibby and Artest are in their primes!

how about we trade corliss for a s&t mikki moore and wilcox.... the sonics are gonna need cash to resign a lot of their key players... and maybe go after a big name player... eh, i dunno... its late and i cant go to sleep....
