Fresno King

I would like to apologize to all of you wonderful people for bailing on our beloved team at halftime. I am pleasantly surprised and amazed at what the guys did tonight. If you are in the same boat as me, feel free to get it out in the open - it's good therapy. :)

Humble pie never tasted so good.

Can't wait to watch the second half on demand. Gotta love Comcast!

GO KINGS! BEAT THE CAVS AND LAKERS THIS WEEK!!!

And Merry Christmas to all of you!

OMG man... I really wanted to turn it off but couldn't. I was half-way paying attention till the score was down by 19, thenI started to tune in my full attention again.

OMFG!!!

Thats all I could freaking think watching this...

In some way, I'm still in disbelief!!! OMG...

I swore we were toast!!!! I get to eat a big load of dukie, and I love the ****ty taste right about now!!!

for all of you that turned off the game. you aren't real kings fans.

i stuck with them down 35. proudly.

Wow.

You are so dramatic.:p

I turned it off. And I have season tickets. So what does that make me?

A "not-real-fan" with more money than everyone else? I'm not saying it's true because I don't actually know you, but let's be honest, there's an obvious answer for most things in life. Season tickets doesn't make you a real fan (See "fans of LA Lakers").

I swear to you I was going to post the exact same thread until I saw this...I to bailed on this teamed at halftime to play some MWF2. And now I regret it, I am now just waiting to catch that second half on replay.

Actually, I had to put my kid to bed and pack for a Christmas trip. Woulda waited till after but I didnt think there was a point.

/also, we split our tickets into thirds so we could afford them.

C'mon, where's the superstition? I figure the Kings were able to come back BECAUSE you turned off the game a half-time.

Doesn't anyone else out there do the ol switch back and forth thing between channels to jog the Kings back to playing well?

Sometimes you just gotta turn it off and that spurs 'em on to victory... :P

Turning this game off doesn't make you less of a fan!

The Kings defied the odds and won the game---GREAT!! Trying to quantify "fandom" never works.... I enjoyed taking the dog for a walk, got some exercise and was shocked the Kings pulled it out. That's all there is too it...

I've been at Arco, new and old for more Kings losses than I care to remember. I was also at Arco when Bibby hit the game winning shot to beat the Lakers in Game 5. Does that make me more of a "fan" than someone that has never seen a game in person? I don't thinks so.. It's just a game---enjoy...

No need to explain yourself, I'm not judging, nor was I the one who made the bible of "being a real Kings fan", I just don't think season tickets was fair grounds of buying/assuming your way into the elite group either :).

I leave the room, but don't change the channel. I figure if they think I'm not watching they won't be as nervous :D

I watched it on tape so I didn't turn it off, but I fast forwarded through most of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. And we're all too used to recent Kings teams that got down and just stopped playing. I figured this team would keep playing and maybe be under 20 at the end when we were down 35, but never in a million years did I expect to come back from that far down ON THE ROAD and win...

Just freakin' amazing.

Came back from the Battle of the Bands prelude to Poinsettia Bowl knowing Kings were down 19 at half and over 30 later. Then getting off freeway, Mrs. Cruzdude checked her iPhone scoresheet and HOLY CRAPOLA 102-98. We were convinced it was mistake. But then watched our recorded 2nd half thanks to Direct TV recording.. Just no way what I saw happened. Two rookies, a second year guy and two ex-Blazers did it.

Wow. One of the top 5 events of all time for the Sacto Kings and maybe even in team history.

its all part of being a fan. people were down on the kings a few games ago when the whole team stunk it up. its a long 82 game season. there are going to be ups and downs. if they aren't improving and sucking then theres concern but theres improvement over the course of the season so far.

well MW2 is a great game... i watched the whole game... its weird but its kinda like i new something was gonna happen... (could be all the cold med im taking tho)

hahah, yes! I actually did the same... I heard the cheering and Grant going nuts but I knew I had to stay in the other room or I'd ruin it. :)

Poinsetta Bowl?

Any "Battle of the Bands" that does not involve Grambling State and Southern is counterfeit.

Turned the game on for the first time somewhere in the 3rd quarter - down 28. I turned it off and did some things around the house. For some odd reason I turned it back on at 8:00ish in the fourth and couldn't believe they'd cut it to 13. I planted my *** on the sofa was treated to one of the best finishes since the glory days.

I am SO GLAD I turned it back on!

Mea Culpa!

I came home from the gym last night, checked the score online and the Kings were down by nearly thirty. I closed out the browser, went and had a shower. I didn't watch the late news, so I knew nothing of the comeback until I woke up this morning to hear the Rise Guys talking about it. In truth, I thought I was still asleep when I heard it.

Guilty as self-charged. :(
