Why would Houston take 2 of our trash players for a talented center? Just because he wants to be traded? I think they can get a lot more for him than this.

And here is the major problem. We have no assets to trade. If the people we dislike suddenly played well and upped their trade value, we might want to keep them as they play a meaningful role for us. If MT could shoot - great. If PPat could hit 3s - great. Etc. That's the problem the way I see it. I certainly agree with anyone who says we need a defense minded, hopefully shot blocking, player but I doubt if we are going to get one via trade. Where's Aldrich? He's not a mega shot blocker or anything of the type but he's better than N'Daiye. I feel very confident about that. I'm not even convinced we are playing to win but I presume my conspiracy theories will become old pretty soon.
I was talking about going after him this offseason when he is a free agent for next season. I'm assuming he will be healthy by then .. unless you knew that was what I meant and wouldn't like him either way.
No, I thought you meant a trade and he'd be a decent short-term move because he was expiring. I guess I'm just not thinking too hard about the free-agent class this offseason yet. There's a lot of season left, hopefully we can try to patch things up in the trade market first and then see what the FA market looks like when we get there.
