you mean stay the norm as they did this all last year too. I think some of this is a reflection of Fox.
Or maybe we just didn't care about a preseason game that was scheduled 36 hours after a previous preseason game (where our starters all played like 30 minutes, and played really well), after two weeks of intense camp. That happens, and it isn't some indictment of the star players. Its just reality that it is hard to get up for games that literally don't mean anything, especially when you played well in the previous game that didn't mean anything.
We can all be sanctimonious about it, but we wouldn't be the first team to phone in a preseason game, especially one that is coming on the heels of a preseason game where all of our main guys played hard and played a lot of minutes. And yes, I know that "not getting up" for certain opponents was a problem last year, and may well be a problem again this
regular season, but I am not going to conclude that based on the result of one
preseason game.
