Preseason on league pass?

Entity

Hall of Famer
Will the preseason games be free on league pass this year like they have been in the past or will they even cover the preseason. I don't see a section for it on direct tv at this time.

They're still there, just not active because there's no programming. Since they are showing two, I think that means they'll be showing limited pre-season games. I'm just guessing about that part, however...

Hmm. thanks VF. I went ahead and ordered league pass, so hopefully the kings game will be on league pass tomorrow! cant wait.

I don't know about League Pass, but they are on Comcast. I guess it's about time for me to go into my annual pre-season PBP training.

Whoooooooot!!!

:D

Argggh . well the comcast channel is on the top 100 plus. so if im out of area but have csn west on dish, will i still be able to see the game??

Depends on what you call "out of the area." I get the Kings games and I'm 2 hours from Arco. It all depends upon if you're in the area considered as part of the Kings broadcast coverage.

Hmmmm. Unless they carry the pre-season on League Pass, you're pretty much out of luck.

:(

Dang. I remember last year being able to watch most of the pre-season games on dish league pass channels. Guess we'll just see if shows up tomorrow. Thanks VF.

Direct TV has given me the run around. They have no idea whats going on over there. They said something about an NBA policy and preseason will not be carried. But they couldn't explain to me why it was carried last year. I am not sure if any of those ppl can even spell NBA.

I doubt preseason games will be on the NBALP channels as I've never seen them there before (DirecTV). You might catch a few on NBA TV.

Your best bet is the regional sports package so you can get Comcast Sports Net (656).

DirecTV has it

If you go to the TV listings page at www.directv.com and change the settings to show the Sacramento area, it's on channel 656 from 7:00-9:30. It wasn't listed yesterday when I checked, so I'm assuming it's on.

Did they change that? In the past, having the sports package still blacked out games, forcing us to buy League Pass. Unless your "local" sports network was 656 that is, which it wouldn't be for someone in Phoenix.

How much is it this year? I have called Time Warner cable and they seem lost. They dont know when i can actually order it and how much its going to be. They just keep saying to call back in a couple days.

As helpful as we try to be, we cannot quote prices.

For the record: If you live outside the Sacramento broadcast area, you cannot get the Kings games via Comcast, even if you are offered the Comcast Sports Network West. You would end up with all the programming BUT the Kings games, which would be blacked out because of the broadcast rights for the team in your area. (In Phoenix, this would of course be the Suns.) You would have to get League Pass. League Pass may or may not actually carry some pre-season games. If they do so, it will most likely be hit and miss.

If you live inside the Sacramento broadcast area, you'll see the Kings pre-season games on CSN. You cannot see the Kings on League Pass, as the games will be blacked out.

DirecTV carries CSN on 656. DishNetwork carries CSN on 409, with the new HD coverage on 359. Comcast carries CSN on 33. (I don't know about HD for that...)

Well, I was able to watch it on channel 656 tonight. I didn't check if it was on any of the NBA LP channels though.

(I am in Southern California)
