You have to consider that the staff worked most of the practice time using Cousins and Hayes running the set offense with their passing. You just can't insert JJ, JT and Whiteside into those roles and not miss a beat. If you saw the Fan Fest scrimmage, you could see that they were going to have problems unless they played uptempo. I thought in the game Tyreke sort of got off the new offense script and fell back into what he felt comfortable with. Read the post game comments from both Reke and Westphal and it's pretty clear. My 2 cents is that Westphal is going to push his new schemes and the players will have to adjust their comfort zones.
