We had started a thread before...wanted to start it back up.

Please all include a special prayer this week for Mazie, she had a mild heart attack and goes in for surgery in the morning on two bad valves. Thank you.

::send prayers for Maize::

Sidenote on prayers: About two weeks ago a family member had an accident at work. The doctors gave him slim chance to survive the night. Though the religious beliefs differ amongst members of my family, prayers were heard and as the doctors said it was a miracle that he is alive and now doing well. :)

Please add your prayers for Coach Whiz (the head coach and GM of the Sacramento Monarchs) who was coughing up blood this week and is now awaiting lung biopsy results (as I understand it).

Also, prayers for the Monarchs players as they continue in the Western Conf finals while worrying about their coach.

Note: I got this info (about the coach) in the Monarchs forum. It is apparently in today's Sac Bee.

My 75 yr old mother is driving tomorrow (12 1/2 hrs) by herself to Dallas to pick up her 74 yr old sister. After a couple of days there, the 2 of them are driving east, all the way to New England, and then up into Quebec. They will then drive back to Illinois where they will spend a few days before going back to Dallas.

On the one hand, I am so proud of these 2 healthy independant women. On the other hand, that is a long way, and I am worried for their safety (to say the least).

Please pray for their safety and that they have a wonderful trip.

Oh, P!
I didn't know! I am so sorry for your loss. I will be praying for you and your mother, as well as the rest of your family. You have my sincerest condolences.

It's never easy to lose somebody you love although it is a part of the circle of life. How strange that as your uncle was leaving, your niece was arriving. The same thing happened in our family as my dad was dying, a new baby was growing and getting ready to enter the world. (she's 3 years old now and sang happy birthday to me in my voice mail yesterday :eek: . Sorry, that may have been inapropriate in your immediate time of grief.) May your memories comfort and sustain you in your loss.

I am, however, happy to hear of Mazie's amazing recovery and send prayers of gratitude for her family as well as the prayers of comfort for yours.

Take care and be good to yourself during this trying time.

KK!
