Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

Haven’t seen any LaRavia chatter. I was expecting we would hear about interest in Detroit or Denver. Minnesota makes sense. Lakers too.

LaRavia is under contract to the Kings for another 17 minutes. That means they could have negotiated with him in good faith since the season ended. The fact that he has not signed with Sacramento means he wants to see what other offers come up the pike.

Yeh I don’t expect him back, I’m just surprised I haven’t heard any rumors about other teams interest. The free agent class is not good and he is a great depth piece.

Given that we were severely restricted in what we could offer him, it's no surprise he's going to test the waters.

More to the point, what "culture" are you even trying to build that you feel the need to bring in Dennis Schroder and/or Russell Westbrook? Neither are particularly high character or sagely mentor types. Russ is a grinder, and I understand why that's appealing, but he's never been the most team-oriented guy on anybody's roster. Either signing would just feel like onboarding another vet for vet's sake. Bringing both on board would be puzzling to the nth degree.

Attempting to bring both is fairly interesting though. Suggests massive wide spread changes to our current ball handlers.

Unless we're really just that dumb and we think adding 2 guys who need the ball and dont play great defense and dont shoot very well to a core that already struggled with that last season is somehow an answer

And also would further bury guys like Carter, Clifford, and maybe even Ellis in the rotation while taking shots from Keegan that he needs to develop at this point. Surely we all saw this coming because it's what the Kings do almost every year. Somehow our front office thinks this is what competing looks like.

Yeah... it just means that Perry had better know what his follow-up moves are going to look like. Otherwise the Kings are headed to the basement of the Western Conference without any guarantee that a rebuild is around the corner.

If I were I season ticket holder I’d cancel the second we signed Russ/Schroeder what a joke franchise man

Keon isn’t resigning with us next year after losing minuets and money to those guys and Carter should enjoy his 10mpg

Look inward and you will see that negativity is rooted in distrustful memories of the past. Plant the seed of positivity and you will soon walk with the divine and seek the truth of those whose rivers run deep with love and compassion.

Culture building lol

Matt George dropped it like it’s a new one too. A fresh concept for team building for the Kings and not simply a line that gets recycled every 3-4 years when we’re entering another stage of not quite making winning moves, but not quite getting busy rebuilding.

I think the one thing about culture is that almost all the ROSTERS that have good “culture” win a lot more than they lose. Winning creates a good team culture.

You might say the Spurs and Heat have good culture but aren’t always a great team, but those cultures are more tied to how the organizations operate from the top down and how players respond to that. But still, even for them we saw how easily one diva be it Kawhi, Butler, or going back to the Sloan Utah Jazz culture Deron Williams can throw a wrench into it irreparably.

You aren’t going to build the “culture” through free agency if those don’t lead to wins. Kings fans should know this better than anybody

Or in other words, lemmings!

So uh.. How are we feeling? 4 hours in and nothing official. Lots of guys off the board. Feels to me like Monk will be a Piston here soon. I really hope its more than just saving Vivek more money.

Get me some Pistons picks.

The current Detroit backup shooting guard is under Federal and NBA investigation. Hmm.

Honestly, I'm feeling just fine. Nothing was really going to happen to significantly move the needle one way or the other, in my honest opinion, so I wasn't coming into this free agency period with high hopes to begin with. To me, the draft was always going to be the mechanism by which we improve the roster the most heading into the 2025-2026 season, and I do believe that we were able to draft a few bodies that can come in and do just that.
