If he’s healthy, Marcus Smart/Keon Ellis/Devin Carter is a fantastic defensive backcourt capable of providing 48 minutes of hell. That is a BIG if at this point though.
If we go for health gambles i would prefer Brogdon though. We should be able to get both without giving up too much though. If he’s healthy, Marcus Smart/Keon Ellis/Devin Carter is a fantastic defensive backcourt capable of providing 48 minutes of hell. That is a BIG if at this point though.
Is Smart 50 now?And Marcus is the best player IMO that they could learn from. Marcus is mean on defense so maybe some of that would rub off. Especially for Keon who has to make up for the lack of strength and body somhow.
Phoenix needs to do the right thing here and yard Durant to Minnesota they’re offering the best package anyways.
If we get a bidding war going we need to do everything in our power to get Reed Sheppard forget anything else. I would even send picks with Derozan to land Reed that’s the PG of the future
All the reports I’ve seen is the Rockets see him as their pg of the future and that makes sense given the miles on Fred. Deebo on the Rockets actually makes total sense for them given their defensive infrastructure. Straight trade for Brooks gives us the dog we need on defense. Hes on a two year deal so the kings could be “competitive” for those two years and then they would have 75 million coming off the books with him and Lavine. Could decide to start fresh at that point if they wanted. I don’t think that would be a bad return for Deebo.
Derozan straight up for brooks doesn’t move me rather get Cam or Eason than brooks

Something like this make sense for all teams involved?
You don’t value Quickley as much as others then possiblyThat's just the disaster Ham trade, but we add DDR for JJJ too?
No thanks, disgustingly low value for domas and ddr

This essentially is two separate trades, Domas to Toronto and DDR to Miami so if your argument is that we didn’t get enough back from Miami I would agree Jacques straight up for Derozan is not great value. Framework still is doable if you can add something from Miami thenI just got done posting how much I like Quickley lol. He's not close to matching Domas value much less ddr value.
The framework for the Miami DDR deal is and has pretty much always been either JJJ and Robinson or Rozier’s expiring contract plus the 20th overall pick or Wiggins and the 20. Those are pretty much the two ways a deal works money wise and is good enough value for the Kings to pull the trigger. Preferably we’d also find a way to get Jovic in this deal but that ain’t happening. This essentially is two separate trades, Domas to Toronto and DDR to Miami so if your argument is that we didn’t get enough back from Miami I would agree Jacques straight up for Derozan is not great value. If you plan to take a guard just swap quickley with RJ. But if the kings plan to stay competitive idk how far a rookie point guard is going to take themSo maybe that workout with Fears did mean something if the 9 is in play. Having said that wouldn’t make sense to have Fears and IQ

Fears is also like my least favorite point guard prospect slated to go in the first round so I’d rather we use that pick on CMB or Carter Bryant or something instead lolSo maybe that workout with Fears did mean something if the 9 is in play. Having said that wouldn’t make sense to have Fears and IQ
Let’s run it back then with the same roster you rightYou're losing significant value in both deals
I fail to see how there is a binary choice between "run it back" and "lose all the trades"Let’s run it back then with the same roster you right
