Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

So you're definitely not Monte.
Let these dudes imagine that the franchise is going to do something competent for once lol they have continuously shown us time and time again they botch big name trades and can’t get much in return in deals, but by all means let’s ignore the recent history of the franchise lol

Man... to contend with not one but two "lol"s in the same run-on sentence. That's the true height of detached above-it-all online message board irony.

All I have to go on with Perry in Sac is that he was part of the FO (and probably the engineer) of the trade for pick 10 for picks 15 and 20 in 2017. Those picks could have been OG Anunoby, Jarret Allen or John Collins. Or we could have kept 10 and grabbed Bam or Spida.

Had we nailed that draft it would have been a huge win. So I'm actually hopeful he can scoop up a few draft picks and crossing my fingers that the scout team is better this go-round.

Classic avoidance tactic when your argument is so poor, you have absolutely nothing intelligent to retort.

Instead of telling us why that package would be a good trade for Domas and DDR, he resorted to petty nonsense. Very common on this forum now, unfortunately

Keep that superiority complex you got and you will run all the people out of here eventually don’t worry

It's a special brand of defeatism that not only rejects the possibility that we might make good trades, but also rejects the option of not making bad trades in favor deliberately making bad trades instead.

I assume Wiggins would be needed in the KD trade
either that or they try to pair him with DDR
Deal with Miami only makes sense with Jaquez and Robinson coming back. Maybe we route Robinson back to another team though, as his contract might be valuable to teams that want to save some cap

Fears is also like my least favorite point guard prospect slated to go in the first round so I’d rather we use that pick on CMB or Carter Bryant or something instead lol

I've been checking out more Jase Richardson vids lately. If he lasts to the 20's the Kings should just take him and run. I can see some of the hype.

If the Kings can get 20 then you do it. If for nothing more than to just look like you care as an organization and aren't going to hold DDR hostage, haha. If they can get JJJ instead it would work. Take a gamble on a role guy that can fill some of the gap left if LaRavia bails. Worst, worst case and DDR demands to go to Miami Terry Rozier in a contract year isn't the worst thing still. Sorry folks, just being an ender is a plus.

I don’t recall.

I checked and didn't see anything about it. So my guess is they probably don't need to work him out. If he drops to 42 they'll probably just take him anyway right? Looking at the list the Kings didn't really get much in the way of 1st round types, mostly players around 42 or undrafted, probably to fill the summer league/Stockton team out.

So let's be clear here...which of the following do you mean when you say "we already tried?"

  • We tried to bring in the proper/ideal pieces around Sabonis, but we were unsuccessful in acquiring such pieces
  • We tried to build a winner around Sabonis by bringing in the proper/ideal pieces around him, and it still wasn't enough to make us a successful team
Insert meme with guy sweating over two buttons...

Wait, if I follow this right you're asking about Fears dropping to 42? Ain't gonna happen, no way, no how. Did you mean 20 (assuming we land it)? That's probably below Fears' floor, but I guess it could happen.

Yeah, obviously it's doubtful, I'm saying if they like him, he dropped, and he were at their pick (regardless of which one), they probably don't need to work him out because they like him. Which who knows if they do or how much. The Kings could have talked to a bunch of 1st rounders at the combine that we didn't hear about. If the Kings can't get a pick in the 1st they're at 42 and from what I can tell have run their workouts logically by working out players in that range for the most part.

Yes, as far as I have seen the Kings have run workouts designed almost exclusively looking at #42/undrafted players. That does make acquisitions in the 20s (or at 9!) a bit of an iffier proposition.

But for Fears, one of the first 13 invites to the Green Room, to fall to 42 would require some big change in his medicals, like blowing his knee completely out in the next week. It's the kind of thing where, if he's available at 42 you should be very hesitant to pick him at 42 even if you like him, because there's a reason he fell like 30 spots below his floor, and it's not "everybody else was randomly passing on a good player".
