Nice gutsy win by the Monarchs.....Wasn't able to watch the game but I heard the defense was good and nice balanced attack on the offensive end.:) oh, and finally single digit in TO's

Great 4th Quarter win. No Lauren Jackson in the Second half always helps:D
Solid effort from Brunson (double/double), and Ticha once again controled the tempo of the game in the fourth quarter becoming a scorer. The defensive energy was excellent and was key in this victory, along with only SIX TURNOVERS!!!!!!!!!

It sounded good... I'll wait for post game reports.

Way to finish a game.

Off hand ...
6 players in Double figures is very good.
Ft's ...very bad.
Defense stepping up at the end. Very good.
Defense not stepping up before that... very bad.

Monarchs finding a way to Win... best of all.
Me missing it... That is so very Very Bad.

But we are drinking spirits now. I have converted a few guys to "Dig the Chicks ballin" Liquor does a lot of good things.

Big Ups to A-Dub. Limited Points but Big Boards. Rock On A-Dub.

That's it for now. Game reports????

I was able to attend the game and i didn't think we would be able to get within 5 but we finally did thanks to Ticha's layups late in the 4th! great win, but i noticed that Jackson didn't play during the 2nd half. Not to take anything away from the Monarchs or anything....

No LJ was sidelined at the beginning of the thrid quarter with a hamstring injury if I remember correctly.

Admiral Must be dying about that.

Must give props first to my boy Monty whose biggest fan I am...dude came out for Storm intros working a remote control monster truck with a stuffed Doppler dragging behind it. If that wasn't enough, he was driving the thing into the Storm intro line as they were meeting out on the floor. Bird kicked his truck when he buzzed her, but he CLEARLY got in their heads with that and it messed them up 3.5 minutes into the 4th.....;) Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeest bit ALL season Monty!!

I think I'm going to stop worrying and learn to love this team and all its quirkiness (so I say now, but may be back melting down if they start to stray again). That was a phenomenal dig down. I just kept looking up at the scoreboard all night and it seemed a perpetual 5pt deficit they could never really crawl past for very long. Agreed, TP controlled tempo well all game, took it to the basket - which I also am a fan of btw. Down six, M's force two Storm turnovers. Ticha's "let me pull this reverse layup out of my $$$" shot, followed by Lawson's layup a possession later brought the house DOWN. Bedlam breaks out in the seats, on the floor Kara's bouncing, TP's riling up the fans, Chelsea is screaming, the posts are hi-fiving each other, the bench is going nuts. I'm sure it was conceivable that they could have technically lost that game after this moment but somehow it just seemed like they had turned the fates back and despite the scariness of their FT shooting the rest of the way, they were going to be a'ight.

I didn't realize, because I was fixated on other things that chap my hide that they had managed to not giftwrap the ball over to their opponent NEARLY as much as they usually do. Props to them for that, and damnit, props to them for the defense that showed up. NikkiP had poor Izzie pinned the HELL on the sideline just completely harassing her, I thought Izzie might just give her the ball just to get her off her.

I hope Chelsea gets a hazzard pay bonus - if someone hit her harder than Burse did tonight? She will need physical therapy after this season is over. That was as violent a take down as I've seen Chelsea have and goshdarnit, she's had quite a few. Robinson got caught by a head rattling pick in the first half. Doling out the phyiscality was the game plan of Seattle tonight for sure, but the Ms held up.

Now that y'all see what not turning the ball over late in a game (or even much early in the game too) can do? How about, I dunno, for giggles..y'all try shooting better than 60something % from the FT line and see what that does to your odds of winning games?

Ladies, good job - great game tonight. Go to work on this road trip, don't give this game back, you've worked too hard now to settle. Time for y'all to go on a streak and get hot and start getting your stuff together - you are the defending conf champs damnit, I'm tired of looking up at two other teams - you should be too. DO THIS!

(Unofficially) I have Yo now 65pts away from 4,000. Not that I've been antsy about this for most of the season or anything...just sayin is all..;)

Hated it ... really truly hated it ...

I was appalled about Monty driving the remote controlled truck around during the player introductions ... This is TERRIBLE sportsmanship, a player could get injured. One Storm player did trip over the car, and some others had to avoid it. In my opinion this is inexcusable behavior, the Monarchs organization should apologize to the Storm and to the WNBA. And this should never be allowed to happen again. I want to see the best play the best at full strength ... if we go down the road of letting mascots harass players in the pre-game ... where might that end? No, it's over now ... MBF, how would you feel about this happening to the Monarchs players?

He didn't trip anyone, he's done things during the intros that the other team's players had to avoid him doing. From what I saw, once he realized he was rolling the thing too close to the players while they were walking he moved it and just buzzed them while they were standing around. Its about as good natured as the player who body slammed Monty during intros last season.

If we were going to put a hit on another team, I could think of better ways to do it and be less obvious about it.

I thought in was in good humor, even Sue Bird pretended to kick it, soccer style. Maybe he could have avoided the huddle & warm-ups and just amused the Monarch fans? I don't think Monty was trying to hurt anyone. Unlike Janelle Burse steam rollin Newton or as MBF mentioned before....Sho-time getting blindsided. Maybe they should have apologized for the rough play?

I loved the game it was playoff atmosphere. One thing stands out in my mind.
During the 2nd half I remember Yo getting everyone's attention & yelling ''Come on ya all ''White line defense! I read in a article how Yo mentioned everyone needs to step up & not all players gave their all in the loss to Minn.
This is where Yo's leadership comes into play...Monarch players being accountable. Only 8 turnovers ...awesome. The veterans making plays beautiful.

Last props to the coaches for the rotations & getting the players to play for 40 minutes. We can work on the free throws, because come playoff time missed free throws can cost you a game.

Excellent win & it sent Monarch fans home happy:)
