Possible 3 Way Trade (Pistons,Bucks,Kings)

fxhsurjono

G-League
I was playing with the espn trade machine and came upon this possible trade.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ylba85s

Kings Receive:
Tayshaun Prince
Dan Gadzuric

Pistons Receive:
Donte Greene
Andres Nocioni
Omri Casspi
2010 Kings 1st Round Pick (Top 3 Protected)
2010 Bucks 2nd Round Pick

Bucks Receive:
Beno Udrih
Jon Brockman

The Kings would be back in playoff contention with Tyreke, Martin and Prince. I really believe with Prince we can fight for the 7th or 8th seed and bring some excitement back in to Sac-Town. Plus the pick we give away wont get us John Wall anyway if we're in contending for a playoff spot,we also basically shed a year off Beno's contract for Gadzuric. I think this is a "win-win" for all teams.

Pistons get young guys and picks to rebuild, and can still be in playoff contention, and if they don't they'll have 2 lottery picks for next years draft. They get a potential pick and another young SF.

Bucks get a backup pg in Beno and a young rebounder in Brockman. Basicly turning Gadzuric into 2 "somewhat" productive players rather than Gadzuric (who does nothing, our version of kenny thomas).

What do you guys think?

Kings Receive:

I don't think Prince alone is going to propel the Kings from bottom dwellers to playoff team. And I definitely don't want to trade the 2010 1st rd pick for him. Even if the pick is from 6 to 10, you can potential draft a better player than Prince.

So I say nah to this trade.

again... can you not put the word "POSSIBLE" in the title if its just your idea and not really happening. It's misleading.

now to your trade idea...

So your saying we give up:

Omri Casspi
Jon Brockman
Donte Greene
Beno Udrih
Andres Nocioni
2010 Kings 1st Lottery Pick
2010 Bucks 2nd Round Pick

all of that for Tayshaun Prince and Dan mf'in Gadzuric?!

Thats insane.
NO WAY IN HELL.

i'm sorry i thought this was the "personnel moves" section where fans can brainstorm trade ideas on how to improve the team. my bad. i'm sorry.

The only players right now that can instantly propel us into the playoffs are people like LeBron and Wade. I wouldn't have any problem getting rid of Beno and Andres for Tayshaun, but getting rid of Omri and a 1st round pick is blasphemy. Pistons would make out like freaking bandits in that trade.

There's really two ways i see this team going right now. either win with kevin martin or not. if we get a pg next year, martin being traded is inevitable. so what im saying is for this year and next year adding prince and trying to win with kmart now isn't such a bad idea, if it doesn't work, we'll have a top 10pick in 2011 and draft a pg.

either way we're going to draft a pg, so im simply suggesting moving that plan 1 year back and see what kmart is really made off. kmart haven't really had some help in sac lately, im just suggesting if we can at least "fight for playoff spot" and push drafting a pg 1 year back why not do it?
plus taysaun's contract is up in 2 years, which is really 1 year earlier than noc, so i really think its not a bad idea.

outside of the jwall next year there's really no one that catches my eye. we dont really need another big and why invest a top 10 pick for a backup big? yu know what i mean. im just saying why not take a shot and compete at least for this season.

what if we gave up omri and a 2nd round pick, would you think its still worth it?

Giving up a 1st plus two rookies and a second year player for two 30 year olds in the hopes of sustained mediocrity? This is the exact opposite of anything that we should consider.

It's an ambiguity that both the reader and the writer have to adapt to. I have found that "possible" is acceptable in a speculation thread title. As a reader searching for a serious rumor report I look for use of the term "rumored," then I get excited.

yea true, but im really sick of the kings being on the bottom of the nba.
im mean like i said, its just pushing the plans of drafting a nice pg back 1 year.

I question the sanity of anyone willing to deal Omri right now.

eta: not that he's untouchable, but I don't think we'd get the better end of a trade that would actually be acceptable to a real NBA GM.

Mortgaging future pieces for a hope and prayer of competing for the last playoff spot is not the kind of "win" that excites me.

You are still proposing that we give up:

Omri
Donte
Andres
Beno
Brockman

All for Tayshaun Prince and Gadzuric.
Even with Tayshaun, this team is going nowhere. You are only throwing away pieces. It is a bad idea, although a good effort. And John Wall is not the only prospect, and YES, the Kings need another big man. As evident by last night, JT and Hawes are both very inconsistent. You should also be on the lookout for players like Derrick Favors.

again the pick would be protected. so the pistons still wouldn't get our pick till later on if you guys really believe we'll be that bad. again over looking the fact that we're shedding salary, instead of udrih for 4 years and noc for 3. prince and gadzuric would be gone in 2 years.

Um, no.

But if you can get us Melo for both our young SFs, Noc, our first round pick, and a 2nd next year, maybe we can talk. Seriously that's a star type package, not too far off what you would offer to get a guy like Bosh (Thompson, Noc, KT (ender) + our first).

wow... this is terrible... why??? how bout trading Beno, Noc, and Kenny Thomas for expiring contracts so we can just sign a REAL player.

Trading half the Kings team for a good SF and a back up C????

Omri and the picks stay here!!!! Heck I still want to see what Beno does agaisnt the rest of the leagues back up PG's before I give up on him! Beno appears to play better when he is competing for his job.

cosigned, just because you felt like messing around on the real gm trade checker doesn't mean that it's possible. no offense man but this type of thing drives me nuts.

and the trade is terrible. Casspi has a whole lot of potential and he's already starting to play well, Noc is not a hell of a lot worse than Prince(who has fallen off a lot since 04-06, when he had a prime Sheed and Ben behind him), and Brockman can be kind of like our Chuck Hayes. Then you want to toss in what is possibly John Wall, Derrick Favors, etc. What the heck man?

do you really think denver would never sign off on that? thats like trading melo for 20cent to the dollar.

i honestly get all the arguement against this trade, i get it.

but.

lets say we dont give up the 1st round pick.
(which the more i look think about the more that i'd like to keep it.)

so the trade would be

Omri Casspi
Jon Brockman
Donte Greene
Beno Udrih
Andres Nocioni

for

Tayshaun Prince and Dan Gadzuric

we save $13.5 mill on salaries. have a ****load of cap space by 2011 and rebuild from there, with only our "core players" still under contract(tyreke, kmart, frisco, hawes, thompson and 2010 1st round pick, 2011 1st round pick) that REALLY does not sound to bad at all. i like greene and casspi, but im not in LOVE with them. there will be other SF's in the draft or thru FA's.

Wow. No offense man, but... wow. I would't take Prince and Gadz for even half of the list you say we give up.

And let me just throw this little zinger out there:

I would not even trade Tayshaun Prince for Omri Casspi straight up right now. You better believe that, and if you disagree, I'm already cooking your I told you so pie. Yum!

1st. you guys swear like casspi is the next superstar
2nd. you guys act like this trade is horrible and will put an end to our rebuilding plans.

again. cap space, something we need, we can't be fully rebuild until we have cap and alot of it.

yu guys really dont think the maloofs will pull a trade like this to attempt to attract fans to come to the games so they wont lose money!? and possibly move this team out of sac?!

plus i honestly dont even think detroit would sign off on giving us taysaun for 2 unproven sf's n noc.

only reason why we love casspi and greene so much is because we're kings fans and we watch the games. bet you 90% of the league aren't in love with casspi and greene like you guys are. im not that in love with casspi n greene, they are moveable pieces. only thing that keeps me asleep at night is the fact that we have a SUPERSTAR in the making in our hands with tyreke evans. only kid i LOVE on the kings.

Um, ok. Don't overstate what we're saying about Casspi. But I am saying he's going to be damn good. He is damn good right now, and it's just a matter of him adjusting to the refs, learning opposing players, maturing a bit, gelling with this team, learning this system, etc., but he clearly has all the tools to be a key part of a championship team. Pus he's from Israel and the Maloofs are now in with an entire country and it's diaspora. That's just good business. Plus he has the fire. Trust me. He's a friggin steal at 23. Or actually, pretty normal for Geoff's drafting in that range, honestly (except Douby, yes, yes).

And 2, the trade is horrible. We're not acting.

3. We'll actually be getting some cap space this summer, but we're not going to land our main player through free agency. We might land a final key piece or two. But it won't be for a couple years, IMHO. We are rebuilding mainly through the draft, like Portland.

trading casspi away.... hmmm no way not even for first round picks....

why would we want gadzuric AND prince at the expense of casspi and greene..

trading Cisco on the other hand.. should be considered
