as fun as this will be to watch, it'll be over very soon. the Rockets couldn't have found a worse matchup. they do most of their damage at the rim, from the 3 point line and running, the Thunder are brilliant at taking all these things away from you. they don't run all that much themselves, but if you want to make it a running game they'll shrug, say "alright, let's do this" and cram Westbrook and Durant down your throat. Harden will have a devil of a time getting around Sefolosha who won't do anything on offense other than shooting corner threes (he'll make a ton, too, Houston is pretty bad at giving those up) and save all of his energy making Harden's life hell. and then, if/when he gets around him, he'll be met by Ibaka, someone who knows all of his tricks and tendencies. defensively, the Rockets can't stop anybody especially not this team that'll capitalise on every single one of their weaknesses. in their one regular season win against them, the Rockets played near perfect ball and still barely won. they might take a game if they run hot from the three, but that's it.

geezus. this is becoming SUCH a disappointing playoffs. injuries are taking away all the fun...

derrick rose - OUT
rajon rondo - OUT
kobe bryant - OUT
russell westbrook - OUT

even stephen curry, whose having the best season of his career and putting up some of the best shooting performances the league has ever seen while guiding the warriors into the playoffs for the first time since 2007, is only listed as "probable" for tonight due to his glass ankles...

Meanwhile, too old, too fragile, too overmatched - San Antonio Spurs look to take advantage of all the carnage, like the killer instinct 4-time NBA champs they are, as Popovich chomps down hard again.

This series was pretty much a no-brainer right up until Russell Westbrook got injured on what Kenny Smith has called a "bush league play." Now, it's up to the Thunder to show what they can do without one of their best. Series stands at 2-0 Thunder, with game 3 tipping off in Houston later today.

Despite a nice showing by Francisco Garcia, the Rockets weren't able to stop the Thunder from rolling on. OKC can wind this up on Monday with one more win. Series stands at 3-0 Thunder.

Game just over. Hou wins by 2. Garcia is on Durant for the last 12.5 seconds and forced him to pass. Good going Cisco!!!!

watching Cisco and Aaron Brooks jack up shots for the Rockets is just...weird. really, really weird. the green light they seem to get is nearly, dare I say it, Smartian.

Damn. It figures. I'm watching the Clippers-Grizzlies, which just might erupt into fisticuffs at any moment and don't want to miss it if it does. 4 technicals so far in the game - 3 on the LAC and one questionable on Z-Bo.
