Kyle Lowry 6-1 PG from Villanova.
Plays excellent defense. Will have an immediate impact as a backup player. Not a great shooter but can improve his game.

Rajon Rondo 6-1 PG from Kentucky
Plays excellent defense. Not a shooter. Extremely quick

Tiago Splitter 6-11 C/PF from Brazil

Plays excellent defense. Doesnt have too much of an offensive game but can be improved. Not too much of a shotblocker. Not a great rebounder

Quincy Douby 6-3 PG from Rutgers
Great Scorer. A slasher and great shooter. Plays good defense.

Jordan Farmar 6-2 PG from UCLA
Great passer. More of a pure point guard. Really flashy, early Jason Williams type player. Not a great defender.

feel free to add on or comment....

No. Simple as that.

He's a projected 2nd rounder, and there are many better players in the draft. Specifically ahead of him.

If we had a 2nd rounder, I wouldn't quite mind us drafting him. But would prefer Nick Fazekas from the big-man shooters. Also can do more.

Fazekas and Haryasz both worked out for the Kings the other day. Haryasz killed, dunked on him twice he said.

Paul Millsap!!!

He's the power forward from Louisiana Tech. A little undersized at 6-8 and 245 lbs, but he reminds me of Ben Wallace. I got to watch Millsap for three years when Tech played at Fresno State, and he's one of the best rebounders in the nation. In fact...

03-04 (freshman) - 15.6 points, 12.5 rebounds per game
04-05 - (sophomore) - 20.4 and 12.4
05-06 (junior) - 19.6 and 13.3

-NCAA Rebounding leader all three years (first man in NCAA history to lead the nation in rebounding 3 years in a row)
-NCAA Honorable Mention All-American
-First team All-WAC 2 consecutive seasons

He's a beast, he plays defense, and that's exactly what the Kings need.

Mr. Petrie... please do not draft a point guard!!!

Any of the best bigman we can get at #19. No PGs/SGs for me. I strongly oppose that.
u go w/ best talent available bro. if you don't like him, i'm sure other teams will. there you go, you have a future bargaining chip to work with where as if you drafted for need you might end up w/ the 8th best person at his position.

Normally you should go with a big w/ us, lack of youth there, lack of athleticism there.

Other positions if we plan on moving people... it's that simple. A swingman if you plan on moving two (maybe one) of the young swingmen, and a PG if you don't plan on bringing back Price. Petrie likes him, and showed some nice things when he played this year garbage time or not, since he did play in some games too. The swingman situation is obvious... Ron/possibly Bonzi/Martin/Garcia/Monia. All are liked by Petrie.

Im thinking Tiago Splitter may be a very Anderson Varejao type of guy.

Bouncing all over the place, hustling for everything he can do.

It would be nice to have someone like that, especially as I was desperatly calling for the Kings to draft Varejao a few years back. (No complaints now, though)

I see Rajon Rondo as hit or miss...Either he's Jason Hart 2, or he gets a shot doctor and can turn into a good player...Kevin Martin took an ugly shot and reworked it into a working form of art, maybe Rajon can too.

Just went to Kings.com. For the last 10 drafts we did, only 1 of them is a bigman. Brian Grant that is..... Anyway the rest are PGs, SGs and SFs. Hedo wasn't even a bigman. The next 10 is I think we'll only draft 1 big man again.

Is it true that next year we are going to have 1st and 2nd round draft picks?

Josh Boone would be my pick

Josh Boone- 6'10" 237lbs UConn- Athletic bigman, good shot blocker and rebounder... seems like a guy that can develop into a marcus camby type...

Cedric Simmons 6'10" - also a very athletic play, but may be gone by #19

ROUND 1:

Shelden Williams - PF - 6'9" 250 lbs - Duke
Patrick O'Bryant - C - 7' 250 lbs - Bradley
Saer Sene 7-0 235 C Sen. 1986 (interesting pick)

ROUND 2: (we would have to of course trade for a rd 2 pick since we don't have one)

Justin Williams 6-10 225 PF Wyoming Sr.
Dee Brown 6-0 180 PG Illinois Sr.
Daniel Gibson 6-2 190 PG Texas So.

trade down for 2 or 3 picks

i personally think we should trade down.we could probably get guillerrmo diaz with a lower 1st rounder, and get a big man like paul davis or ryan hollins with the 2nd round/rounders.

If we traded down (maybe get someones late 1st rounder, and a 2nd rounder) I would love to see us get Saer Sene, and Justin Williams. Or if Sene isn't available mabe try for Diaz late in the first round, and Williams in the second.

I'd take Kyle Lowry. He can immediately come in and give 10-12 minutes a night in relief of Bibby. He may never be more than a backup PG, but he also will not bust out of the league like a lot of the available big men will.

Add Curtis Stinson to my list of small guards I'd like:

NBA Comparison: Bobby Jackson (less athletic)

Strengths: Combo guard with tremendous scoring ability and a quick release ... Aggressive player, very crafty at creating shots for himself ... Strong intermediate game and scores extremely well around the basket ... Good body strength, and he uses it well to overpower weaker guards ... Excellent quickness, quick first step ... Played most of his career at shooting guard, but shows some point guard ability ... Decent vision and passing skills, but not great for a point guard ... Showed solid improvement in his assist to turnover ration in his junior season ... Has the toughness typical of NYC players ... Good on ball and overall defender, anticipates passes and gathers steals well ...

Weaknesses: Already 23 years of age, so he has less upside than some other guards ... Lacks a consistent outside shot and range but still has a scorers mentality ... Athletically he's not a huge leaper, but very fast ... Lacks a real position on the NBA level ... Questionable lead guard abilities with distribution, ball protection etc ...

Notes: Has signed an agent therefore giving up his senior season of eligibility ...

-Aran Smith 5/21/06
Sounds quite good, and what we need in a small guard. Ronnie Price could stay as a more natural PG, or might be replaced.

Justin Williams 6-10 225 PF Wyoming Sr.

If he is undrafted I would like to see the Kings invite him to camp, or to play in the Summer League if possible.
