In a low level pick up game Kings took care of the Warriors missing 3 starters to improve to the 3-4 for the season extending the winning streak to 3 games. Kings will conclude the 4 game home stand with Pistons who will be a different number compared to the 3 previous opponents. Kings are currently somewhere in the middle of the Western Conference mostly due to other teams sucking worse but things will get back to normal pretty soon.

With another win against the direct opposition - Kings doing themselves another disservice. Trend is declining in terms of our draft pick "quality".

If You ever played a pick up game - You have probably been part in one much better than what Kings and Warriors offered last night. The game had nothing to do with basketball. There was no order, no structure, no fundamentals whatsoever. Very, very ugly game between 2 teams that really can't do anything else and only look good playing each other. Once they face a mediocre team things look much different. Playing the good team on the other hand is not so bad because good teams never take such teams seriously - resulting in a poor effort and close game.

Muss Junior might be a genius after all. I think - I am slowly figuring out his defensive schemes. Last night - it was brilliant. He took away the 3pt shooting from the Warriors and made them beat us with layups and dunks
Brilliant ! How often can You win by not defending the paint at all. Nelson had a similar strategy but he didn't have enough talent to do it. Using same strategy he solved our rebounding problems. More easy score, less rebounds - smaller rebounding margin. Brilliant !!!

One more time for the "slow learner" - we will NOT make the playoffs regardless on what record shows in November or December. We aren't even a team that is taken seriously by the "elite." We will win games because there are other teams that are worse - not because we are good. Miami for example is a rebuilding team that is kinda close to mediocre. Remember what they did to us just by taking us seriously and playing as hard as possible.

If I am not mistaking - during the last night broadcast - Jerry and Grant have slipped out a shy comparison between Kings vs Mavs from the beginning of this millennium vs the last night game. I felt insulted big time. There is absolutely nothing alike about this because You can't compare apples and oranges and You can't compare world class NBA basketball vs a pick up game from YMCA.

Beno sure started slowly in the season. It sure isn't his contract year. He has underperformed of we take the last season as a standard but what if he has over performed last season. Wouldn't be the first or last player to do so. Beno is a decent back up for a decent team in the NBA. Pop figured it out on time and avoided wasting money. I hope I end up being wrong but it looks like we are stuck with another under performing guy for a while ( Mikki syndrome).

Bobby J. is still "alive." That one play in garbage time, that one small moment bringing up a dejavu fro the glory days. In one single play - the best of Bobby. It made him the fan favorite which he still is. Now, he is on the sunset of his career that will most likely end up just like any other player from the glory days - with no ring. They gave it all and it wasn't meant (allowed) to be. The real reason we love and respect them - that one single play in the garbage time.

Other than the injury to Kevin - nothing significant or memorable happened last night. Warriors in their full strength are mediocre at best. Without their 3 starters - they aren't even Euroleague level. It was 48 minutes of garbage time with Zero defensive effort. Fugly !

TDM went again to Beadrins. If the game was closer he would have had a 20/20
LW-VC went to S Jax. He looked lost out there
RA & 1 goes to Mr. Kurz. I am sorry but he was sad out there.
JHA - went to Sheldon W. If You play 6 minutes in such game and don't score ...
WTF moment of the game - pick a layup - any layup

We owner Pistons last season who knows why. This game will be somewhat different. There won't be too many layups for us, we won't score 115 pts and there won't be a blow out unless Kevin sits out the game. Doesn't look good for us. Pistons lost at home to Bostoon scoring only 76 points and Iverson scored only 10. They will try do make that one up. With Kevin - we still have a shot since their bench isn't producing. It will be a good test.

Pistons fresh of a trade, home loss to Boston with 4-2 record, 2-1 on the road and a new coach. Their bench is inconsistent and if we have a chance - that would be it. Kwarme is still in the NBA ??? TDM goes to Maxiel. LW-VC will go to Johnson. Kwarme will at least get a RA & 1 award. Despite Mikki's quadruple double - Pistons too good for us if Kevin doesn't play.
