I didn't see this game, but it seems a lot of the times that Webber takes hook shots in the lane, he is pushing off of his defender.

Its working for him now, but its not a good habit. He seems to do it instinctively, and the refs could start calling it any day.

I mention that b/c the last picture shows Webber commiting an offensive foul on Lafrentz. Does anyone remember if there was a foul calle don that sequence?

I don't see the foul. He usually protects the ball with the other hand and if he is not extending the hand - that' ok.

They allow Webber to get away with it... Just like they allow KG and Duncan to get away with alot of stuff... If the refs let him do it, he might as well use it...

That's as clear a push-off as you're going to find. His arm is pushing away Lafrentz's arm - the same arm that's trying to block his shot. You're not allowed to do that.

If it works, then who cares obviously, but he's not going to get the call in his favour all the time, and a lot of th etimes it doesn't even seem to be making a difference, just a bad habit.

You are not allowed to do that if your arm is moving. Otherwise it's ok. From the picture it's not clear that his arm is moving. It could be static.
