Here are some photos I took of the rally. It was a respectable crowd and they were pretty loud !! I got a Cousins Jersey, but they were not doing any signing. Too bad but it was a cool rally and the fans did show some love!

Went to myself; was a little disappointed. I got there at 5:40 and by then, it was already 3/4 over. Kind of was expecting it to go from 5:30-7, but it ended with Cousins/Whiteside doing some autographs at 6ish.

Fastrman: You had to be standing almost right next to me.

I liked last year's downtown one better. It was even hotter that day, but since it was in a park at least there was shade. Standing on asphalt with no shade for an hour an a half was not fun. Downtown is a central location for a greater number of fans. It also lasted longer last year and with a raised stage everyone could see better.

Still it was nice to see our young guys get to meet the fans. I was practically right next to Petrie watching the two sign autographs. I wanted to say thanks, but I'm just too shy. You watch GP and in his dress, demeanor and interaction with people, he seems like such a down-to-earth, every day kind of guy. Very nice and actually very approachable.

I hope you enjoyed the meeting DeMarcus and Hassan! We sure did. :D

Here are some pictures I took.

Here are the videos of what took place during the "Rookie Rally."

I need to get a digital camera with HD for the video. The pictures come out just fine, but not the video. It's also hard to film when there are people in front of you but it is what it is.

Part 1 -

Part 2 -

This was taken by the Sacramento Bee. I'm in the bottom left side corner. Between us, DMC was trying to recruit me to be the missing piece to the Kings championship contender puzzle as their PG/SG next to Tyreke. He was trying to hand me a contract (he held it upside down to be sneaky). I politely declined as I have already hung up my sneakers.

This was taken from the Kings official video from the Rookie Rally in Roseville. You can clearly see me with my sunglasses on. Now you can see who was blocking me from taking better videos. I hope he's not a dentist unless he did something to himself Hangover style.

Man, I'm envious. Wish I could have been there, but there was something called an out-of-town-family-wedding...

Might have gotten myself in hot water if I'd skipped that. lol\

Can't wait for the next community meet-n-greet opportunities.

I skipped out on my own cousin's wedding back on May 11, 2002. The Kings defeated the Mavs 115-113 and I showed up after the game was over. Not to mention I live in Sacramento and the wedding was in Fairfield. It's not like I was a part of their wedding. So yeah I put the Kings before my extended family. :-)

I'm the one that shouted "GENIUS!" When Petrie was introduced ;) ! I am NOT shy LOL! I didn't get a ball OR a shirt. Only the people way back got the stuff! That kinda sucked, but it was a fun rally. It WAS Hot but the Jamba Juice helped. It would have been nicer if they had had the rally in a place with SHADE on a 100 degree day in Sacramento, but they did keep it short for just that purpose I believe. The Dancers only did one routine! Anyways I got some good photos of the Rookies and I bought my Cousins jersey (which was printed not stitched but It was more for memory's sake) ! Go KINGS !!

p.s. Saw myself a coupla times in that video to the left. I didn't realize how very short is was. Oh well, it was cool anyway...
