About the game in general and why the Kings lost:

"We looked lost, we did not know what we were doing and what defensive assignments/tasks we had. As far as the offense, the same story. While the shots are going in - we are good. As soon as they stop, our weaknesses are revealed."

Stojakovic thinks that all is not lost yet alhtough Seatle has a psychological advantagae and a match ball on their court:

"We can win in Seattle. We lost at Arco because we did not concentrate in the deciding moments. When we needed to extend our lead, we were not patient, we were not passing the ball but losing it. We brought Seatle back into the game ourselves. Then, when they equalized, Ray Alen took over hitting shots under pressure. We tried to come back into the game chaotically, without any organization, ... but... we need to think....during practice we do things well and we need to carry that over to the game."
 
idunno why but it seem everytime i heard quotes from plays it just reassures me and i get this boost of excitment....i sure hope this excitment can boost throught the ENTIRE 48 mins of a game
 
while i would usually find some sort of optimism out of quotes like this i cannot help but feel as though its redundant and useless at this point. i mean, c'mon peja was one of the players who QUIT in the 4th and most important qtr. to me you have to leave it all out on the court, not sound big talking to reporters
 
It's funny. He's says they were "lost" on defense........really????

And after the game all Adelman could talk about was how the offense wasn't clicking in the second half. No wonder these guys are lost on defense, they never know what they are doing because they don't practice it.

At the risk of repeating myself, this little interview does NOTHING to restore my faith in Peja... Instead of the innocuous "we" he seems to say so often, why not just once something like, "I need to try harder to get rebounds. I need to make myself open so my teammates can find me."

Peja is NOT connected. He's talking we-speak, which means he doesn't have to get personally involved.

I would have been much more impressed if, like Bibby a while back, Peja had come right out and accepted some of the blame for the loss instead of just saying the company line...
 
I choose nto to read anything into this one. Just seems like standard interview material, no hidden messages, no real insight. Same stuff everybody else has been saying, but not doing, unfortunately.

I wasn't reading anything into it particularly. I was just a little disappointed he didn't say anything or take any responsibility for his disappearing act. Come on. He could be opening for David Blaine with that trick...

Bibby has talked about his game at a personal level, as have Cat and Bobby and some of the others. Peja just speaks in generalities - he's disconnected.

PixelPusher made it for me on his own time apparently + offered it to me. Personally I would have gone for the bat crushing somebody's skull and brains splattering all over the place, but you take what you can get.. ;)
 
I remember Mobley saying at the beginning of the series how he and Bibby will take it for Sacramento...as if Peja does not even exist. VF21 if you ran around and made yourself open but the passes never came, at one point you'd stop and say **** it...why bother.

Wonderful how Peja's fans paint him -- as the Randy Moss of basketball. The ball isn't coming to him, why work?
