Anyways, does anybody else find it crazy when Theus plays Beno, Greene, Thompson, Williams, and Hawes at the same time? That's a huge lineup, especially with Greene at the 2-guard spot. Moreover, why does he sometimes play super midget ball, with Beno, Bobby, Martin, Salmons, and Moore? Seriously, Salmons is not a power forward.
I think we'll see more traditional lineups once Miller and Garcia are back in the mix. Right now it's more a matter of suriving with what's available.

I like it when coaches treat rookies like rookies. Thus, I'm an advocate of letting Thompson earn his minutes...showing he can consistently put forth this effort as well as constantly improving his defense. I feel that if you give rookies too many minutes up front, they might develop bad habits that will be hard to break.

However, if Mikki continues to be ineffective, Theus won't have much of a choice. As said before, there's a point where you need some tangibles to go with the intangibles, or else you're better off putting Angela Tsai on the court (ouch!).

But, we're only 3 games into the season, a season where we aren't going to the playoffs...why would we want to force Thompson into starting when he's not ready, and risk sacrificing his development? To move down two lottery spots? With this draft being quite weak, I say no way Jose...

This is very premature. Assuming Thompson keeps wildly outperforming Moore for another month or two, the time he'll start is if/when Moore gets injured. Then when Moore comes back, if Thompson and the team did well, he might stay in the starting lineup in the name of going with what works.

This is basically the only way these things happen. No coach wants to show up a veteran like Moore by benching him. It's a great way to lose a team.

I can think two other ways of losing a team - 1) play the lousy player instead of the good guy, and 2) losing.

Considering he almost had twice the minutes as Moore tonight, I think it may happen sooner rather then later.

Sure Mikki is getting the vet treatment....But come on. 0 pts, 0 rebs in 18 minutes.

He's making it awfully hard on Reggie to allow him to keep the starting job. Every game JT plays better and he plays worse. And this is just game 4!

I think Mikki is barely hanging on. When Miller returns, I think he gets a shot at doing something - anything - productive. If the losses and the empty statlines keep piling up then Mikki isn't just losing his starting spot I think he falls out of the regular rotation.

I think Thompson could be in the starting lineup as early as Nov 21st, at home against Portland.
