Fox has had now three very subpar games in back-to-backs this year.

No you don't, but that appears to be a trend. Fox's three lowest-scoring games this year - 14, 14, and so far 10 - have all come on the second half of a back to back. The only other game he didn't get 20 was 18 on opening night.
