One Game at a time ....

I expected a better game out of Cleveland ... then again;

I musta heard several-several times ... King's have 5-shooters on the floor .... that's tough to defend when they're all hittin' !!!

Unselfish play, two best passing big men in the league, excellent perimiter passing .... basically ALL OFFENSIVE PLAY REMARKS.

What do you all think about what's being said ... "WE'RE GONNA OUTSCORE OUR OPPONENTS"

I guess our defense is adequate (always room for improvement) .... I'd love to see some improvement in our rebounding #'s ... the saying "Defense wins championships".

Looking at the other teams .... we stack-up against them fairly well.

Can our King's do it in a 7-game series ???

I guess what I'm saying is, I'm optimistic about our direction ... I just wish we could defend better.

Well, San Antonio is comin' to town .... better benchmark game

Re:

my take...
at this point it seems to me Kings have the best team in Webber era. Best in terms of quality, experience, overall talent. This is without a doubt in my mind. Cat is a huge part of this. Webber is coming to its own, him being healthy gives this team the missing piece....
Now, the defence. We all know playoffs are something different but bare in mind few things. Kings have shown the ability to adapt in playoffs which is the most important thing in my view when dealing with heavyweights. All their problems did come from different and various aspects of one single problem/situation, injuries. And that is all the Kings need, be healthy. Do that and you will have a championship team.

Not better than 2002

Think we were better in 01-02 and 02-03. But if Bobby can return for the playoffs, we're certainly back in the mix again.

You mean if he returns and is effective.

Several nice things about Bobby -- first he should be in great shape because its an upper body injury. No problem with running/quickness drills etc. while he's out. Secopnd, he always plays outside our structure anyway. There's no question of reintegrating him, because he's not an integrated player. So isn't likely to have widespread effects on the team trying to slide him back in. Only real question, and it will be a big one, will be his timing + shooting. In any case, the deeper we go, the more rust he should shake off, and we should be able to handle one round at least even without him.

He'll Be Ready ...

When he's ready ... just a question of WHEN.

No doubt Bobby wants back and he's mentally pumped-up to play.

Imagine that .... Jackson/Evans/Martin/Barnes/Songaila/Tag/House (questionable cause of the 12-man roster limitation) coming off the bench ... that's a freakin' lot of energy, athleticism and eagerness(can't forget Bradley ... just don't know enough about him).

If/When Bobby comes back, I guarantee that they'll cut House. We don't need two PG's coming off the bench

the kings have won some games where they haven't shot well. they can play D when they want to ( see the last kings spurs game)

to me the real test is the spurs game in SA. beating the spurs on their home court would tell me a lot about this kings team. the spurs are the best in the west and have only lost once at home.

GO KINGS!

Well, according to our good friend Chucky Barkless the Cavs were "TOO TIRED". So you could take his point.

I still think Kenny Smith is a closet Kings fan. He picked Webber as his starting PF on the West All star team. He also always throws the Kings in the mix with the Spurs and Dallas as the best.

i'm sure that minny was thinking the exact same thing in last years playoffs....

I think this years team has more potential. Cat looks to be the perfect fit for our teams style of play....

IF we have Bobby back for the playoffs I think we SHLOUD win it this year!! GO KINGS!

I think that has something to do with him having played for the Kings before. ;)

So true! A win at Spurs' home will prove a lot. But first, they need to beat the Spurs at their homecourt this Sunday! Let's go Kings!!

San Antonio ... 21-1 Home Record ... only home loss to Seattle ... 96-102

I believe both teams are at full strength.

I think this team is better, overall, then any team in the Webber era as well.

We finally have athletic players coming off the bench, something we haven't really had.

Plus we have Ostertag, who BTW could start on most teams in the league, who is a defensive minded player that can protect the paint. Pollard was a great player to have come in, but I would go with Greg anyday.

when we are playing good offensively our defense then comes around...our offensive capabilities is like the catalyst for everything else
