One final salute to....

....... the former glory days kingsmen who were traded away this past year. Since the season starts today and we haven't started a full season without these 3, I thought I'd make one final salute to them.

Christie: it was fun while it lasted. You have a new home now with the hated mavs. Its all good. Have a great year except when you play us. Wells and martin are gonna be tearing it up against you haha. J/K, good luck man.

Jackson: man, what could I say about you? I can't even count how many ooooh's and ahhhh's you had me saying over the years. I'll never forget that layup against the mavs in the playoffs in 2002. Tear it up in memphis and I wanna see you in the playoffs.

Webber: I got all the faith in you man. I've always had faith in you. Keep training that leg and get back to your old self. "Big game chris webber". Man I miss hearing that. You're gonna be missed forever, but the memories will always be a property of the sacramento kings and us fans. Good luck homie.

Well now that that's over, I'm looking forward to seeing the new kings and I'm also moving on in life without those kings.

Well, i think the good bye's were held last year. I hope the best for all players traded away. I hope to see webber playing like old, even if it mean he is kicking our a** in the regular season, post season I am going to have to flip a coin.

This is about starting a new season without old players. We started last year without Vlade.

It is also a chance to move on to this new group of players who don the uniform of our Sacramento Kings. What better way to start a season than with:

Great thread! Christie, Webb & Bobby were a HUGE part of the Kings that were... that exciting, amazing team that always seemed so close to taking home the prize. The years of that rollercoaster are over, but the memories will always remain. I wish all those guys the best of luck this season! No matter what they do with their new teams, they will always be Kings in my heart!

While it was sad to see them go we saw last season why we had to get rid of Doug. It will probably show even more this season. I think you will see the beginning of the end for Chris this year. Sure there was a decline after his injuries, but you will see the first great decline this year I believe. Bobby can still play, he's got a couple good years left in him as long as he can stay healthy. He only has one gear though 6th, and that's his greatest asset and greatest flaw.
