Hockey is back baby. Sharks are deep this year. I just love it when you know your team is a title contender. Much better feeling about everything.

We started off strong with 2 wins at home. Now its off to the road with 2 great goalies. I like how we are so deep that we don't even need to depend on the usual suspects.

Just as long as they don't play any more Canadian teams in the playoffs, they should go all the way.

I don't think there's a Canadian team good enough to make it to the playoffs, except maybe the Flames...

Why?

We fixed our only problems in the offseason. We now have the highest average weight per player on our team. The next highest team is 10 lbs./player less. We picked up a few guys who are good face off-ers and we have added depth at scoring and checking. We have a small handful of players who have won the cup. We have a lot of youth which translates to speed and endurance. And our coach runs a system where young players can thrive. Not to mention that we have 2 lines that could be #1 on any team. Hell, our third line could outscore most teams. Watching the first two games, it is easy to see how we will dominate once the new guys are accustomed to the system.

This is the year.
