In a sense, it was probably a good thing the forums were offline for the triple-whammy of the Kings naming DC their head coach/Tyrese knocking the Bucks out of the playoffs and his dad trying to fight Giannis/every other team doing the thing Kings fans were upset about the Kings doing and hiring their interim coaches full-time without interviewing anyone else.

Glad to be back but the several days of being forced to just watch the games without posting about them was a nice detox.

It probably was not "down" in the way that you (and others, myself included) may have thought it was "down". It probably was "down" because it was just being updated.

I'm not saying that you are wrong, but if that really was the case I'd think that the mods would have given everyone a heads up before it happened.

Nothing too interesting but just to satisfy your "curiosity". There was an ongoing issue where mods were having to attempt login multiple times. I couldn't log in at all (therefor couldn't contact anyone or provide prior warning). The software version was VERY out of date and I didn't have the knowledge or time to invest in figuring out how to upgrade it. I worked with the developers and paid them to migrate the site (at significant expense). They did a great job but their response time was very slow and what I thought would be a day of downtime turned into longer (4 days?).
