Offseason plan

Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you that everything is just hunky dorey with Thompson. This was a very frustrating season to watch if you were a Thompson fan. He started well, but then went into a big time nosedive. But even when he was playing well at the beginning, he was still making the same mistakes over and over again. He made mistakes that a lot of people don't even see. And got blamed for some that wern't his. But after we aquired Landry, and Thompson had to go back home for personal reasons, something changed. I noticed it right away. He slowed down and stopped forcing things. He started taking the slower PF's and Centers that guarded him off the dribble. He started to look like a legitimate PF.

great posts as usual baja. i think the addition of mandry has helped JT slow down his game. my guess would be because he has to watch from the bench and tutoring from mandry

I read this morning that Gasol was Ibaka's responsibility and he's the one that should have blocked Gasol from the basket. I went back and looked at it again, and have to agree with you. It was Ibaka that blew it. Damm shame.

When I saw it live I thought it was Collison's error. Then on the slow replay I changed my mind and put the blame on Ibaka as Gasol looked to be his man, so it's not surprising that this turns out to be the case. But even then, because Kobe faded away, there was no need for Collison to position himself to block-out Kobe, so there was time for him to recognize that fact and move to block out the spot that Gasol eventually went to.

I didn't have the desire to go and watch the Dever/Utah game after seeing how the Laker game ended, as I was just really disappointed in how the Thunder fell. It took me an hour or two before I was able to get myself in the mood to watch the final game of the night.

The Jazz amazed me this series, but the Lakers historically have killed the Jazz, and with the Jazz being undermanned, I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers make quick work of them.
Also, I really, really hope that Deron didn't hurt himself too badly. If he really got injured on that screen with 20 seconds to go in a game already decided, that would just be frustrating.
