Don't Make Me Use The Bat
The last post in this particular section of the forum is the last post I read last night, we are officially in the dead two months of the NBA season
Even PDA fell asleep weeks ago.

Because he played for the Warriors.
My thoughts on what's next are, what the hell is next? Mbah was the only decent move we've made and he still has to prove he's starting material. We heard when Reke's contract was declined and we acquired Vasquez, and a number of fans flipped their lid, that relax, it's only July 4th. Then it was it's only July 5th. Then it was only July 7th. Well, it's now Aug 3rd and the only other change we've made is add Landry which did nothing to solve any of our weaknesses and simply clogged our PF rotation while eating cap room.
And I thought people were confident we'd be able to move some players and get some talent in return. Yet, nothing. This off season thus far is a fantastic failure when it comes to basketball related decisions. I don't consider the purchase of the team as part of the off season as it was pre draft and pre free agency. Has nothing to do with PDA and our FO's decisions anyway. But we're now to Aug 3rd and are no closer to solving a single issue.
As of right now I'm very happy Vivek bought the team and the Kings are staying, but aside from seeing if Cuz turns into a legit All Star and one of the top players in the league and being curious to see the impact Malone will have, there's nothing about this roster or team to be excited about. Looks pretty much the same as last year, minus a 2nd option, more congested in both the backcourt and frontcourt and less defense potential along with no cap space. Malone should be able to squeeze out 7-10 more wins simply by not being the idiot Smart was and we might get a few more depending on Cuz's greatness. But the actual roster hasn't improved nor has the FO cleared out congestion or solved any of our glaring issues.
I haven't really chimed in on this topic, but to answer the title of this thread of what's next... I can only say who knows! I doubt even PDA really knows what's going to happen next. No shotblocker (though Cousins saying he needs one has given me some hope) and no clear SF (moute starting seems likely at this point). I wish we picked up Iggy, but we didn't so now we are stuck. I have no clue of what might happen next. I am hoping we clear up the PF issue ASAP.
If this is the final roster that's going to be on NBA2K14 I'm going to be heated
Everyone seems to forget that we got Vasquez. He isn't exactly a slouch. The addition of Vasquez changes our style of play, on offense at least. I guess all I can do now is wait 3 months until I can watch league pass again.
3 months seems like a decade to me at this point, there's literally nothing as far as good sport on Australian TV its amazingly depressing.
if no more moves are made im going to be sad. where is our SF? where is our shot blocker?

BTW, on a semi related note, I'm taking the opportunity to brag about my tiny nations prowess in being tough, physical athletes who punch way above their weight through heart and physical toughness and mental strength. Posting this because of the Aussie connection, all the Aussie posters here will know exactly what I'm talking about when I talk about the Aussie rules game, which has been banned the last few years because it just turned into a bloodbath. I was lucky enough to witness probably the most violent one ever a few years ago when I was a teeneged kid in Dublin, was awesome to see. It's a far more entertaining watch than "soccer" for you guys, even if I have major problems with our sport (I'll get into that if anyones actually interested, which I doubt).
Worth a watch for guys like Brick and others who may have preconceived notions about non-US athletes (BTW, all the Irish guys are amateur who breathe sport) [/patriotism]
Also, when you American boys are ready to take off the pads and play with the "soft Euros", come talk to me. (This is said mostly tongue in cheek because I happen to love American Football and know the athletes you have, but theres seriously a world of "Euro" sport out there that you guys have no idea about) I'm happy to help anyone that wants to find out more. From my experiences in the US, it's unbelievable how different the cultures are. I absolutely love the US and everything about it and I know I'll be back there, but being completely honest, I know who I'd want in the trenches with me when it comes to the average clean-cut American or the typical European (which is an impossible term given the diversity of Europe (and indeed the US), but there's definitely a hardy steeliness in most European countries that doesn't exist (and to be fair probably isn't necessary) in many Americans. Not a criticism, because I love the US, and that's genuined. But I digress. This post might also be suited more to another thread, sorry mods for the extra work!
One more BTW, Glenn MAY know what he's watching here... Maybe not.
Look, I've attempted to watch Soccer recently. Almost killed me. I switched to the Giants game like THAT.

I was all for the Landry signing since I thought there was going to be another move made after. But atm that signing is looking crap, I still think he's our best PF but we still have not got a starting level SF and we still got log jams at positions with average talent at best. Hopefully they try pull something out of the hat and get a decent SF who can defend and space the floor.
It has not been that good a offseason than, seeing how cheap Brandon Jennings got signed 24mil over 3years hell we could have just kept Reke signed Brandon and traded Ben Mclemore for a SF but again hindsight is 20/20 but to me other than Vasquez unless we make another major move by some miracle the offseason has not been good at all. I love Landry and Luke Richard but we didn't need Landry unless we are trading away the other PF's and Luke Richard is a smarter James Johnson who I will like but again he's a back up who will kill the floor spacing and make it easier for teams to pack in on Cousins.Decent sf that can defend and space the floor? Yeah, they got mbah a moute. I think I said somewhere else, he's half of what we needed (the defending part). His offense is pretty much non existent though. But, THAT'S the move. There's nothing else coming. And the shot blocking pf? Carl Landry. Yeah, he's not a shot blocker. But that's where the money went. What else can you say?

I was thinking about Granger but the Pacers just signed Scola and a back up PG meaning they don't need Thompson or Thomas making a move impossible unless they want Thornton which I doubt. To me you would only make the Landry signing if you already knew another deal was going down where you were going to move some pieces (PF's and SG's) I was convinced that was the case. But that was clearly not the case at all which kind of makes me now question well wtf is the front office doing?
