No joke, remember to listen to MonarchsTalk tomorrow, I'll be on!
You are not "Keesha from Rancho." You cannot even spell the name correctly.

Do you have some reason for pretending to be someone you are not?

NO Lindsay Whalen?? WTF?? she's been on sportscenter top 10 plays twice last week (very very rare in the womens game). Not to knock Becky by all means she a good player, but Whalen deserves to be on there.

Congrats to Walker and YO though, that's awesome.

I am gonna knock Becky Hammon and Swin Cash for that Matter.

I think Whalen was heads and above better then Hammon. I don't think I would feel right knowing that someone clearly deserved to be there more than I did. Then again I think it is safe to say that the east fans truley dropped the Ball this year and put the screws to some very deserving players.

If I were a conspiracy therorist, I would say the same thing was about to happen to Yo. But Sacramento fans... Correction... All fans spoke out early and the Vote got "adjusted". Notice that the west has 3 centers though.

I guess there wasn't the same outcry in the East. I guess fans in the east were totally Okay that Swin Cash has played 8 minutes all year and she is making the All-Star game as a starter.

Personally I think Swin should have some "mild swelling" in her knee and be in street clothes but sit on the bench and allow on more player to be added to the roster, Whalen. Then Both problems are solved. It is not like She will have to fly in from somewhere.

Just my two cents..

The Swin Cash thing is a result of the Detroit Shock fans stuffing the ballot boxes (or, internet boxes), and probably from some people in Connecticut who wanted to vote for any WNBA player who went to UConn, as Swin did.

This incident reminds me of the 1989 Major League Baseball All-Star Game controversy. Mike Schmidt, who was then the third-baseman of the Philadelphia Phillies, had an early slump and made a highly emotional and teary-eyed announcement to retire in May of that year. His name was already printed on the All-Star Ballot, so it was too late to nullify any votes for him. Still, the fans kept voting for him. In fact, he eventually received more votes than anyone else on the ballot, even though they knew he was officially retired and wasn't going to play!

So, in a thankful gesture, Schmidt did show up at the All-Star Game in his uniform. He thanked the fans for the votes, but did not play.

For the record, I was one of those fans who voted for Schmidt even though I knew he had retired. It was my way of saying, "Mike Schmidt, thanks for a great career."
