This is truly a heartbreaking story, I've been reading about it over at Rebkell's today whenever I've had the chance.

So sad and so sudden. Especially when I came across the video of the big celebration after her team won the Patriot league title, just a month ago. It looked like an incredible moment to be a part of.

Ditto what MamaB said...the celebration after they won the game that clinched the first ever tourney bid for the academy was one I remember rewinding and watching a few times on my TiVo. And watching the women's selection show later and seeing her with her kids and ESPN hooking up her brother.

I clicked the TV on this morning as I was getting ready for work and read the little breaking news box on ESPN News and stopped in my tracks. Very sad news - and it just feels even sadder because television gave me more of a personal connection to her than just a scrolling crawl or a blurb in the paper.

yea..I saw her in person when her team played here at odu for the first round of the ncaa tournament...its extremely shocking and my prayers are with her family
