Hall of Famer
We are just not any good and we proved it yet again with the worst loss of the season. Kings tried to be "mini Bulls" as they gave away 18 pt lead in the 3rd quarter to drop 5th straight and drop to 14-21 and 3-13 on the road. Kings 3rd worst in the West and 8th worst in the NBA finding themselves where they belong - toward the bottom in the NBA. After short 2 game home stand that starts tomorrow - Kings will go to the East for 6 games and after that things will be clear if they aren't by now.

Playoffs anyone ? Obviously not. As I mentioned it over and over again - we are not even close. We lack pretty much everything. We have talent but we don't have enough. We lack depth everywhere. Our key players are way too young. Some of you just expect too much and the expectations are based on a false picture. We were able to sneak up up on some teams early in the season. Now, we are taken more seriously. Our players are scouted. My main concern is the basketball IQ of this team. I am estimating it very low around room temperature. I am fascinated by our capacity to make a wrong decision over and over again night after night. You would thing that the theory of big number will be on our side for once.

Did you really think we were going to win this game after Warriors closed it down to 4 in the last quarter ? You did ? That is so sweet. Worst thing possible that could happen to a young/bad team is when you are on the road and the momentum shifts. They just "snowball" you. In order to pull it put you have to"
a) be a veteran experienced and a good team
b) refs have to really like you
c) you have to play against Sacramento Kings.

Well, we are young, inexperienced and pretty bad team. Refs don't like us at all and while we do play against Sacramento Kings many night like tonight - we still manage to lose.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know what was previous Ime's career game but he was great tonight. He deserved the start and played as hard and as well as he possibly could. career high in rebounds. Almost career high in points and 3PT made. Did any Kings player have 14 rebounds in a game this season. Ime is not young, nor very talented but if you look at his career - you know - he worked hard for everything that he accomplished. He was given nothing for free. I hope - he sticks around for a while. Could be useful. Worked for Popovic pretty well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings dominated, controlled and gave away the game by losing 32-15 in the 4th quarter. It was a pathetic performance where everything went wrong. The offense in the last 5 minutes looked like the one designed by Kenny Something or Muss Junior. We fell apart again and in the end we deserved to lose. We couldn't score 100 points against this defense ???

My matchups for Friday night

Ellis vs 50 pts - can Monte count that high ? wasn't 50 but felt like it. Monte is a great offensive player

Evans vs tipple double - About time. not even close. I was very disappointed with his play

Brockman vs Biedrins - clash of the titans. - Brockman didn't play enough tonight

Offense vs offense - can they combine for 250 pts and 200 FGAs ? not even close

Magette vs 15 FTAs - business as usual 12-14 - too predictable

Radmanovic vs TDM vs RA&1 - one of those awards will be his. - RA&1 it is
---------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARD TIME

TDM - I will go with Morrow becouse of a single shot

LW-VC - Radmanovic used to hurt us more in the past

JHA - Casspi - he is still a rookie

MIKKI - Nocioni sux

SAR - Metuselah - N/A

RA&1 - Radmanovic is ready to return to Europe

Jax/Walk - Nocioni - defended his title

WTF moment of the game - Evans needs to make better decisions than dribbling behind the back twice in 5 seconds. Needless to say - didn't work.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuggets next, still shorthanded but not as much. Billups is back. They are coming from their best win of the season, beating Cavs at home. Back to back for both. Who will recover better physically and mentally. In the past we did very well at home against these Nuggets. Our last win was against Denver as well as our last home win. We need a win now - desperately
----------------------------------------------------------------
my matchups:

Billups vs Evans - good test for Tyreke as he plays someone who is also physical

Smith vs 50 pts - wouldn't be the first time

Nene & Martin vs JT & Hawes - how bad will it hurt ?

Brockman vs Birdman - who let the dogs out ?

Noc vs ARCO rims - how bad will they hurt ?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Evans - you can doo better than this
Greene - get well soon
Casspi - bounce back
Hawes - wuss
Thompson -for lack of better words "basketball mental midget"

Brockman - monster - needs more PT
Udrih - okay
Nocioni - forget the trade - just donate him
Udoka - nice

rest - mateen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nuggets 23-13, 3rd in the West but only 8-10 on the road are playing without Melo. Can we count on the to miss FTs again? Why not - other teams count on us every night and we deliver. Afflalo wins TDM. Smith wins LW-VC because that is only way for us to win. I see another close game coming and I am afraid we won't get lucky against them twice in 10 days.

Dick Baveta remember he was reffing against the Kings in the second half. And in the match-up of ref versus Kings, the refs always win.

We need this win. We need to bounce back.

Nice poll. I had to go with JT's lowered shoulder...AGAIN. He has to learn to quit doing that. He's killing momentum and now officials are starting to key on him over it. Stupid habit, much like his earlier habit of having to bounce the ball before going up for the dunk from the low post.

Where's Nocioni in the poll? I'm pretty sure he could have been outplayed by a two year old tonight.

Kings will have a difficult time versus Nuggets. Trends have shown that teams have a poor record in back-to-back games versus the Nuggets when playing the first game in the Pacific Time Zone (usually arriving at hotel room at around 4:00 a.m). Add that to the fact that the Kings were on the road makes it even more difficult. However, that may be tempered to a degree as the Nuggets were also on the road, and Carmelo Anthony will not play.

You don't really consider Oracle Arena on the road for things like this. The guys will be home and in their own beds probably very close to the time they'd normally roll in on a Friday night...

Exactly. I am really starting not like that guy at all.

Westphal is the moron who keeps giving him minutes.
The guy missed like 7 shots in a row in the 1st half. He still ends up playing most of the 3rd. Yet he'll bench Brockman. The only guy playing with any ****ing heart. Pathetic coaching throughout the game.

Next wtf moment of the game - Larry89 in purple ninja suit tackles nocioni during fast break

What does Brockman has to do to get more minutes? I don't understand at all. Yes, he isn't very tall, but so what? so ****ing what? Hell, it's a no brainer: his height doesn't care at all if he plays the way he does.

What I hated most from westphal was his reluctance to play spencer over JT. Spencer came in against the warriors, did mostly good. JT has been missing his jumper since 2 weeks ago and still can't finish around the rim. So again, why the heck did we take hawes out and put JT in against small ball warriors?!!!

OK am I a Nocioni Fan??? NO that being saidnhe BY FAR did not have the worst game last night. He for the most part contained Magette in the first half and got to the line alot Casspi had the worst game and after him it was JT people need to stop blaming Noc for some of our losses when the obviously arent his fault.

what we really hate is his shot selection. We don't complain about his effort, defense ot thoughness. His shot selection and decision making when he has the ball are deadly - for us.

Scott Howard Cooper on NBATV talking Kings. Kings struggling now because of schedule. Tyreke so far is ROY. Westphaul best coach this team has had in the last few years. Players respect him. K-Mart coming back will be interesting to see. Would he trade Kevin? No! Kevin is too valuable. Kevin is a shooter, Evans is a driver.

Scott Howard-Cooper and Mark Kreidler ... just two examples of poor decision-making on the part of the Sacramento Bee.

:)

SacBee... only 2? HA! There's thousands of reasons that rag is a waste of time. But yes, those are two biggies for Kings fans.

I like Amick, though. Although Kreidler has huge shoes to fill.

Billups is back. He changes the way the Nuggest play. They immediately play much better in the hafl court and don't have to rely on up-tempo offense.

Crap...

alright guys i decided to watch it live tonight. I usually wait til the kids go to bed before I watch. So I will give knee jerk reactions all night. wanting players traded and referees hung in the court yard. BTW Udoka is becoming a valuable trade piece.

Well had a b-day party today so they are zonked out. I get to look foward to them being awake at 6 am or before on a sunday morning though. Yay.

Brockman at Center - love it! 2nd shortest at the position behind 6'6" Chuck Hayes of Houston. Brockman is better than Hayes IMO but he needs to prove it.
