NOOOOO! Kings looking at Walker?!?!

I am not saying that Phil would be better than Adelman. I'm saying that Phil is better than most, and that makes it more of an imperative to take a risk since we have Rick too.
i dont know if it makes it imperative, especially considering both the kings and lakers will most likely be middling playoff contenders next season, but its certainly worth considering.

If Peja has as much value as I hear on this site everyday there are a number of PF we could pry. I like the Nene or Kwame for Cat thing, also.

When Webb was traded we supposedly got all these "spare parts" for some great off-season of change. Well, Petrie, if you have a plan, it is about time you bring these changes, starting with a decent PF.
Well put. If Cat walks for nothing and we aren't going to touch Bibby, Peja or Brad, I'm starting to wonder what we have to trade that anyone is going to want. Besides undersized big men with awful contracts or career long historys of injury shortend seasons. If the team stays as it is for the most part will anybody be happy? I have faith Petrie will get something done though, he always does.

I have a feeling that our starting PF next season is going to be K-9.

I wouldn't mind it too much to be honest.
I'm starting to have that feeling too...
I think I would mind a little though, K9 isn't a bad player he can score and even grab some offensive boards when he gets active, but if he's in there with Brad I dunno... I mean I don't know if I can take us getting killed inside and on the boards like we did last year. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well my first choice, considering a full time PF isn't picked up this offseason, would be to move Brad back to PF and Tag to start at center. Adelman did it once in the Sonics series and it totally worked. These guys have good chemistry together, plus Tag is an excellent rebounding/shotblocker and fills a lot of our needs.

Heres to hoping that this lineup sees some court time!

If we settle for either K-9 at the 4, or moving Brad to the PF and starting Tag in the middle, we're going nowhere... We might go really fast in the diamond lane and all, but it will be like being stuck on the MTA.

If that's the way it's gonna be, that's the way it's gonna be but I'm certainly not setting my hopes on either scenario. Not in the middle of July anyway...

I really don't like the thought of being stuck like charlie because he can't be handed a nickle instead of a sandwich.

I'm still waiting to see what Geoff Petrie does before I get on any train.

o-tag starting????

Tag's actually started nearly as many games over his career as Brad has (299 to 305), so it would not be unprecedented. And the Tag/Miller mega-lineup was a good patch idea last year that should have been used more than our twerp lineups. But I think its more a patch than a plan -- that pairing is slow as molasses.

Yeah I agree with you and Celt, If we don't bring anyone else in I'd rather watch Redneck Frontcourt than just about any other combo.

****. ya know, i actually kinda like that idea, if we dont significantly improve at the 4/5. we'd never be able to compete with the fast breaking teams, but o-tag (if he snaps out of his complacency) might just knock enough people on their asses that it works. why not give it a try, considering we're hardly a contender for the title?

I was pretty mad when the Kings signed Ostertag last season. I was really mad when Corliss was being used at center in the series against Seattle. If Antoine Walker is going to be a King, I will absolutely boil over. I gave Ostertag a chance, I'll give damn-near any player a chance to prove he can play the game. Maybe even Ruben Patterson or Darius Miles. Antoine Walker will not get a chance to win me over. I'll go pick a team in the Eastern Conference and root for them temporarily.

Honestly, Petrie getting in contact with this guy is very disturbing. GM-ing isn't something that you're born with and can never lose. Is this a sign Petrie has Lost It?
Corliss is actualy a very good center, at least on D.

Bibby is a defensive stopper, Pedja is a rebounding machine, Bobby Jackson has never been injured, Brad Miller never loses composure, Ostertag is a fitness guru, Skinner lead the league in FT% and so on and so on
