No TV for Kings vs. Lakers?

I have Direct TV and it says "To Be Announced" for the programming tonight. I called Direct TV and they say there's some dispute between Time Warner and them about carrying the game tonight. Couldn't promise me that it would be shown. Said to check back an hour before the game to see if they show the game on 699. Anybody know anything about this? The representative I talked to sure didn't.

Not sure what you are seeing, but at 6:30 on Directv ch 699 & 699-1 is the Kings - Lakers. Comcast covers Kings games.

I have a cousin that is a Laker fan and he said that the Laker games aren't being shown on Dish or Direct tv.

Not sure where he's getting his information, but my DishNet guide shows the game on 447. Time-Warner may have their games locked up in the LA area, but it doesn't apply to us.

He lives in LA. He says that he just doesn't even care about the games because he can't see them.

Yeah, it doesn't say that on my TV. It just says, "To Be Announced", which in the past has meant that if I tuned to the channel when it said that then I got a black TV screen to look at. It seems pretty odd to me that some Directv viewers would show different programming for the same channel.

Its on DirecTV now but earlier this morning the game was no where to be found.

Directv doesn't do their programing guide. They get it from a different company which gets the information from the stations. It can take awhile for some people to get updated guide information.

My guide on Direct TV shows the game being shown on channel 699 (Comcast Calif.) at 6 PM Pacific. It shows it being repeated on channel 698, also a Comcast Calif. station at 10 PM Pacific. My Dish network guide shows it being shown on NBA TV, (Don't remember the channel) at 6 PM Pacific.
